Case Report: Linn Benton Horse

Satisfactory Essays

This lab took place at the Linn Benton Horse Center, and it was an introduction to halter horses and how to judge them. We looked at three stallions; two were halter horses and one wasn’t. We assessed their balance, muscling, and structural conformation in the way that a halter judge would.
Tippy was the first stallion we looked at. Since he is a champion Appaloosa halter horse, it was hard to find things wrong with him. He was beautiful to look at, well balanced, and very proportionate. He fit his breed character well with small ears, large nostrils, and a clean throatlatch. We assessed his muscling second. Even though he wasn’t fit up like he would be before a show, he was still very muscular throughout his body, especially through his shoulder
