Eagle Summit operates as a Committee of the Whole. We are a Professional Learning Community that meets on a regular basis to focus on advancing the learning of the students we serve. Once a week before school, teachers conduct a C.O.S.T. meeting (Coordination of Services Team) where we discuss the social/emotional needs of our students and plan how we can help them be successful at school. Although the teachers are conducting this meeting, all staff members are encouraged and invited to attend these weekly meetings. In addition, while students attend their Advisory assembly, teachers meet weekly to prepare curriculum and assessments, track student progress, and work to support the academic needs of the whole school. Support staff meets with
Our advisory group consists of 10 students. We have a perfect mix of 5 boys and 5 girls. Two students in our group are new to Shorecrest this year. The goal is for our group to meet once a week for 35 minutes, typically on Wednesdays. Although we haven't met this goal, we still have met enough times that our group has gotten to know each other fairly well and enjoy each other’s company. This was clearly evident when we worked on the Holiday Gift Drive project at the end of the semester. We all had fun buying and wrapping gifts for the 3 girls on our list. As we move through the second semester, our focus will be on course selection for next year. I will work closely with each student to help them come up with a Junior Year schedule that is
The Associated Student Body Executive Board, ASB Exec Board for short, is in charge of leading the ASB class to accomplish the goal of schoolwide events. The Board is composed of six individuals, seniors more often than not, who are voted into their position by the students, staff, and teachers. They are in charge of business involving ASB in and outside of the classroom. These students are here to lead the rest of ASB into achieving a common set of goals that ultimately serve the student body as a whole. The ASB Exec board, in layman's terms, is the staff of the students, which also entitles them to a few stereotypes and misconceptions commonly perceived throughout the student body and even in the ASB class itself. This group, since they have

Overall, Meadowlane does an exceptional job of accepting and representing different cultures. It’s heartwarming to students to see many different ethnicities represented around your own school. It’s very eye opening to Caucasian students to understand and see other students as the same. In my elementary, there were only photos and posters of Caucasian students or adults. Although, Meadowlane does not represent language very well for their school demographics. Their school is very diverse with a large population of ELL students. It would be awesome if some of those students could take a break from the stress of learning English. This break could be just by seeing a poster or reading a
After the Advisory Representatives are chosen the first Student Council Meeting will be scheduled and conducted by the previous year’s Leadership Team.

Grand Canyon University integrates faith with every other accept of life; like work, learning and service with the intent to honor god. Being a Christian university doesn’t mean that only Christians are welcome. GCU welcomes students from all beliefs and ethnicities and focuses on providing clarity and unity in matters of ethics and moralities. I believe that the Christian heritage of the university makes our academic experience different than the experience at a non-faith university by emphasizing the importance of being an ethic person that can interact in a community as a functional human being. The values that we are going to be taught in the next two years of our life, no matter from what religion you are from, are core values that every

Every year Yuma Arizona received 83,000 snowbirds (elder people), they are one of the principle target market customers because they prefer organic food for health problems reasons. A total of 1,300,000 tourists come to Yuma every year, we are assuming that around 25% of those tourists would stop by the store to buy some organic products. According to the United States Census, there is an estimate of 203,247 persons in the Yuma County, and 30.2% of that population is considered obese. Another strong market are the people who would like to be healthier and lose weight. There are around 1,000 pregnant women per year in Yuma, and we expect some of that population to shop at the store during their pregnancy. With these different target markets,

The case of Spanish Peaks Lodge deals with spoliation, or the act of destroying or altering documents in litigation. Keybank National filed a Motion for Spoliation Sanctions against Spanish Peaks Lodge and its co-defendant’s claiming that they instituted document retention policies for the purpose of destroying relative documents. In order to prove their claim, they had the burden of showing that: (1) Spanish Peaks Lodge and its co-defendant’s, Voyager Group and Voyager Investments, had custody of the documents; (2) the documents were relevant to the case; (3) there was actual withholding or destroying of documents; and (4) there was a foreseeable duty to preserve the documents.
Once enrolled in Pinnacle, he realized that his desire was misplaced. He did not enjoy the Pinnacle experience as much as he thought he would. That really, the grass was not greener on the other side of the fence so to speak. The structure of Pinnacle and the emphasis on academics was too overwhelming for Eli. He realized that he longed for his old school and the more diversified experience, with a balanced approach to education and
Power relates to influence because in order for a person to be in a position where they have power, others must be dependent on them for one thing or another. The greater the subjects depend on the person, the more power a person has. When one is then in a position of power, they can influence others who are dependent on them in order for the needs of the dependent subjects to be satisfied. Influence cannot be exerted over people who are not dependent on the person, thus leaving that person without power.
