Chicken or the Pig?
Your commitment to school is like breakfast. If breakfast was like “ham and eggs” are you the chicken or the pig? What this means is that do you put everything in on the activities and responsibilities you do each day. Do you try your hardest, or do you only give little bits of hard work when it comes to your responsibilities. So when it comes to life, school, career, are you the chicken or the pig?
When I’m in school, I like to consider myself a pig. For the most part I put everything i've got into school. In some cases I feel I can do better, but In all I do believe I try my best in school. School to me is very important because of the college I want to go to, Notre Dame. Notre Dame is immense in academics, but I want
In my years, here at Senior I have grown for the better in many ways. One of these ways is my strive to do good in school. I came into high school with the attitude of I’ll do my best and see how things go. After my freshman year, I had good grades, and that’s when I really realized how important and that it was possible to keep getting good grades. Then last year and this year I have really been pushing myself to get good grades and really put school first.
Do you know facts about guinea pigs? I know they are rodents, and they need Vitamin C, they are mammals, and they have black or brown eyes. I want to know what food they eat, what are the kinds of guinea pigs, what do their sounds mean, and most of all, facts about albino guinea pigs.
It has been five years or so and Rob is now 23 and is very successful. The farm is prosperous with all its crops and livestock, but the most thriving part is Rob’s pigs. Rob has bought and bred over 100 pigs across the years. Rob’s life and the farm have been set on track. Than all of a sudden Rob’s mother had grown gravely ill.
Many people can say that they’ve owned a small pet in their lifetime. I’m sure many have wondered if any celebrities have owned small animals. The answer is yes. Paris Hilton has owned her fair share of rabbits and she’s not the only one. Rabbits and guinea pigs can be a beloved pet of many. Both pets have various traits and characteristics, they adapt to different environments, and have distinct appearances. Both animals have different breeds and personalities as well. The guinea pig is native to South America while the rabbit is native to North America. Guinea pigs have a smaller frame while rabbits are a bit larger in size. Most guinea pigs are kept as pets, although both animals can live indoors or outdoors.
This pig dissction is designed to visuall show students the different systems inside a pig and indirectly their own bodies. Upon dissection they see the heart, the major organ in the circulatory system that pumps the oxygenated blood around the body; the lungs, the major organ in the respiratory system that provides oxygen to the deoxygenated blood coming from the heart and the small intestines, the major organ in the digestive system that digests the food and absorbs the nutrients from the food. These organ system control basic functions of life and without one, all cannot perform.Pigs are complex organisms with an internal structure similar to that of the human body. The pig dissection was a learning experience that allowed students to distinguish
In class we watched the decomposition of a baby pig. Piglets are closely compared to humans during the decomposition process because it’s covered with hair, attracts insects, and its body fat distribution is similar to that of a humans. Decomposition is a continuous process that can take as long as years depending of the environment the corpse is in. There are multiple factors that play a role in how fast or slow the decomposition process can be such as drugs, trauma to the body, access by scavengers, and clothing.
While they are mostly the same as Standards in showing and eggs, and sometimes color, Bantam chickens are smaller than Standards. Most Bantams are about half the size of standard chickens. Since they are smaller, they lay smaller eggs. The colors of the eggs they lay can be just like other chickens; shades of brown, white, and colors like yellow, blue and green. The chickens that lay these colored eggs are called Easter Eggers or Ameraucanas. Showing Bantam chickens also are judged when showing on standards. They are also checked and weighed to make sure that they are not too big. It is hard to have a good pedigree on bantam chickens, because if they are mix bred, they will normally be too big for breed standards. Bantam chickens also make great
A lot of people would never consider owning a pig but many people do own them as pets and love them because they are very cute and charming. Pigs are charming creatures who do make great pets and are not the dirty animals people think they are. Pigs may take a lot of work to care for but a pig can make an interesting and much adored addition to the home. They are very fun and love to play but need lots of care and attention.
Throughout the entire world children are told short stories in hopes to raise their awareness about doing the right thing. For example, one can memorize a story about a young, inquisitive girl with flowing golden locks, roaming in a forest and ending up in a house that belongs to a family of bears. Or even a story about three innocent, pink pigs who frantically build a house to protect themselves from the big bad wolf outside. Besides enjoyment, both fables offer diverse morals towards the reader, yet have a correspondence between the characters.
After my battle with an Amphisbaena and I, injury was my toll. Long as the springs is, the seasons changing, I settle in and out relaxing at home within the outskirts of the city. On my half, I never agreed for this. Ever since discovering a rare trait of disorder, mutation if you will, my family is half animal. How is this possible? Well I tell ya along the way.
The pig farm was infected by a feral pig population that got onto the farm. It seems the feral pigs got into the domestic pig populations feed and water supply. The transmission seems to have been through fecal to oral contact and potentially inhalation of the aerosolized virus. Oklahoma has a feral pig population that is at least a million strong and running loose. Some of the feral pigs have been tested and shown positive for pseudorabies. Pseudorabies is not zoonotic but the virus can infect cattle, sheep, cats, dogs, goats, and wildlife to include: raccoons, opossums, skunks, and rodents.
We’d like to thank you all for listening to our debate on a meat based diet and how it is sustainable ,….vs a non-meat based diet and their beliefs that one can have a stable diet without meat. We hope that everyone gained more knowledge and insight on the benefits of eating meat can have on humans and the environment.
There are three hundred breeds of domestic pigs. Most are seriously at risk of extinction. In the U.S, only eight breeds are widely used for commercial production. The main purpose to raising swine is to produce pork for human consumptions. Castration is the removal of testicals from the male swine for the purpose of improving feed conversion, disposition, and meat quality. Swine require six general classes of nutrients: water, carbohydrates, fats, protein, minerals, and vitamins. You can raise pigs in a pen exclusively inside a barn, but the enclosure will need deep bedding to allow for rooting, and it will need frequent cleaning to help prevent disease. The cost of raising and taking care of a pig is discussed greatly because if you don’t

School is no exception to this. When I was in kindergarten, I tested out of the first grade and began second grade the next year as a six-year old. At that point, I challenged myself to do just as well as my older classmates and prove to them that I belonged with them. In a way, I feel as if I have been doing that ever since. I pride myself in the rigor of my academic courses and my ability to succeed in them. At the end of this year, I will have taken ten Advanced Placement courses and numerous honors courses. I have pushed myself to be at the top of my class and I am currently very close to graduating as valedictorian or salutatorian of my class. Achieving that is one of the largest academic goals that I have set for myself and
