The events during Chris Kyle’s first tour were mostly inaccurate. In the movie, during Chris Kyle’s Navy Seal training, Chris was drinking at a bar where he met his girlfriend and future wife Taya (Eastwood). In reality Chris met Taya in a bar while he was in Navy training (Duckworth). In the movie Chris Kyle and his girlfriend Taya were married and Chris was deployed in the same day (Eastwood). In real life, Chris Kyle and Taya get married because Chris was going to be deployed soon (Chris Kyle American Sniper). In the movie Kyle’s first tour was in 2003 in Fallujah where his first kill as a sniper happened on a little boy and then his mother (Eastwood). In reality Chris only killed the women which was still his first kill as Chris said he would never killed children (The American Sniper). In the movie, throughout the tours Kyle’s main enemy seems to be an enemy sniper by the name of Mustafa. Mustafa is a sniper who kills some of Kyle’s friends and is a constant enemy of Kyle’s squadron. In Chris Kyle’s autobiography, he talks about an enemy sniper by the name of Mustafa but says he never met with Mustafa himself. Mustafa in this movie was put there to be the main villain and does not have any other purpose. Mustafa never met with Kyle himself (The American Sniper). The …show more content…
In the movie Chris Kyle heroically kills Mustafa and calls his wife saying that he is ready to come home and that he is too depressed to continue the war effort (Eastwood). In reality Chris Kyle returned home because his marriage was falling apart and he wanted to save it (The American Sniper). When he comes home, he helps veteran marines and spends time with them. In the movie, Chris Kyle is killed by a fellow army veteran who shoots Chris Kyle on February 2, 2013 at a Texas gun range. The fourth tour along with post war events were mostly accurate unlike the previously mentioned two
Upon graduating basic training, he was assigned to SEAL team 3. Kyle was a sniper in platoon “Charlie”, which was later named “Cadillac”. Chris served for a total of four tours, and fought in many major battles in the Iraq War. His first long distance kill was a woman carrying a bomb towards a group Marines. “The woman was already dead.
Christopher Scott Kyle was raised in Texas and was a United States Navy SEAL from 1999 to 2009. He is at present known as the best marksman in American military history. As demonstrated by his book American Sniper, he had 160 avowed butchers (which was from 255 ensured homicides).
On Kyle’s first attempt to join the Navy, he is rejected after a physical found the pins in his wrist from the rodeo accident. Deterred from the Navy, Kyle returns back to ranch life, but soon after resuming, he unexpectedly receives a call from the Navy recruiter willing to give him a chance at becoming a Navy SEAL. After completing the training for SEAL recruits Kyle is assigned to SEAL Team Three based out of California. While based in California Kyle meet his wife Taya, but shortly after their marriage Kyle is deployed for war. From this point the book turns tremendously intense as it follows Kyle’s operations in the war as a SEAL sniper. Throughout his tours of duty he is given the tasks of providing over watches for Marine’s clearing buildings and is required to engage any insurgents for numerous hours each day. While on the sniper over watches he experiences the evils of the insurgence first hand by killing multiple enemies in each shift. As his number of confirmed kills increased Kyle earns legendary status and the respect of many military
You’re probably thinking what makes this guy so important, it’s not like he’s the only sniper in the world. Well no he’s not the only sniper in the world but he is the most lethal. In the book, Chris Kyle tells about his life being the best sniper. It’s written by him so the story explains his feelings and the actual story and not some other person’s point of view.
What makes a person a hero is their unhabitual nature to inspire others to believe that anyone can do what they want. One such man has earned his way to becoming such a hero: Chris McCandless. Christopher McCandless was a young man who decided to leave his old life, to become Alex Supertramp, and go out to do whatever he saw fit. The controversy around the life and death of Chris McCandless has been highly debated on whether he should be admired as a hero or shamed for being a fool. Chris McCandless has gained the right to be admired for being free-willed, iconic, and brave.
Reading American Sniper, I evaluate how Chris deals with killing the insurgents and how Chris is affected by four tours in Iraq. Chris has 160 confirmed kills
Chris Kyle had a fairly good early life. The son of a church deacon, Chris Kyle grew up on a ranch and experienced a childhood that was shaped by outdoor pursuits. Chris Kyle was born in Odessa, Texas on April 8, 1974. His father bought him his first rifle at the age of eight. Chris and his father would hunt deer, pheasant,
Born in 1918 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jack Coe’s parents were Christians; however, they did not regularly attend church. There were seven children in the family but his father was a gambler and his mother could not care for the children. Eventually she left with a daughter and the boys were left with the father. At age 9, Coe and his 12-year-old brother received care in an orphanage. The brother ran away, was hit by a car and died. At age 17, Coe left the orphanage and started drinking and became an alcoholic like his father.
Chris Kyle is a very determined person cause of how he did his job and never gave up. Chris led a ground task force in the Middle East when he didn’t have to. When the ground troops were clearing houses he didn’t feel he was able to protect them like they needed protecting. As a sniper he could not see the troops after they entered the houses. He was determined to protect his fellow soldiers even if it meant putting his self in the line of fire. Chris is a direct
Chris McCandles was a very unique young man. His morals and general ways of doing things were not mainstream. Almost to the point where he would seem almost crazy in a sense. But in my eyes I see him as an over ambitious and emotionally unstable guy. He would dip in and out of his phases but always tie back to his past family problems. His parents corrupted his mind and made him think differently about society and what it has become. I don’t believe he was necessarily crazy, but he definitely was not normal. He also just generally makes poor decisions in my opinion.
“Never lose the childlike wonder. Show gratitude... Don't complain, just work harder... Never give up”( Randy Pausch). During the average lifetime, the average person sets goals for themselves. Whether or not they complete is up to them. Chris Mccandless during his life set a main three goals. Mccandless, being as stubborn as he is, dedicated his life to completing his goals. He lost his life, which show he was serious about it. His main goals were to get away from people, become one with nature, and most of all make it to Alaska.

Leaders like Todd McFarlane possess so many different personality traits that distinguish them from other individuals such as his positive attitude, compassion, self-confidence and charisma where he took a hobby to make superheroes in order to make a career and a successful businessman. The great mystery of his life was even though he didn’t succeed as a major league baseball player, he still determined as successful businessman. Finally after a great effort with sending 700 letters which got rejected by different companies in the USA and Canada, he did get work for long hours for low pay only because he needed enough money to start his own business by including six other great artists with him in his business.
