Before the interdisciplinary project, I already knew stuff on my subject. Effectively, the topic of my video is clothing in Swat Valley. We split our video in three parts : traditionnal clothes, during the Taliban and after the Taliban. So, I have read Malala's book in class. Reading this book turn out to be helpful because Malala talks a lot about what people was wearing in their culture and how it changes during the Taliban. It was a lot about what women were obligated to wear and what was the Taliban's trend for men. For instance, I already knew that women needed to put the Burqua, during Taliban's regime, when they go outside. Most of my knowledge comes from Malala's book and this helps me to build a better product. For the making of the video we use an app, on the iPad, called Explain Everything. Indeed, the topics that were proposed to use were two subjects that have face a social inequality and governmental injustice. Indeed, by choosing either of the subjects we would see how those societies were ruled by extreme regime. For instance with my topic, I realize how women were forced to hide themselves and how they couldn’t express their identities during the Taliban. It is unfair to obligate these women to wear clothes, that I’m sure, most of them, didn’t want to. Their liberty was somehow bullied by those rules put by the Taliban. And the more uneven is that men didn’t have those obligations. It is with this project that I learned all these facts and see how it is important to have a fair and equal society if we want it to work well and that everyone can have access to their rights.
