One of Cole’s major setbacks was deciding if he should carve the canoe or not. What lead to the situation, was that he had brought in a large log. He had two choices ; carve a canoe or to cut the log in half and use it for craving. Cole’s final decision was to cut it in half and carve it because he had known that he shouldn't ruin his second chance, knowing he would not get another
In the stimulus material, Charles Embry, an Ex-PG&E employee gave Erin private information about the pollution in the water. Embry used to work in the factory, he claims that most papers were useless until some involved water contamination and chromium, Embry stated he was told to destroy these papers, yet he gave Erin this information to revenge his cousin. It is known to be ethically correct in terms of society, because of the fact that he was seeking for a social good; yet unethical because all employees should seek the welfare of each organization they are working at.

During our negotiation with D.G. Barnhouse (DGB), we intend to utilize an integrative bargaining strategy with management. Before coming to this conclusion, we weighed the advantages and disadvantages of a distributive approach, however, we eventually decided to take an integrative and predominantly interest based stance versus a position based stance in our negotiations after assessing internal and external environmental factors. In addition, we settled on this strategy because we ultimately believe that management and the union share at the very least, one fundamental common interest, which is the firm’s financial stability. That being said, even with our plans to use integrative bargaining, we still plan to negotiate assertively to achieve
The case was brought to DCFS attention when a reporter stated on 7/11/17, OPWI attempted to obtain an emergency order of protection on behalf of Kiara (age 7). Reportedly Ashley (mother) is actively using METH and also methodone she gets from a clinic, and is also involved in prostitution. Ashley told OPWI that Ashley ''can't wait outside for the bus to go to drug court because she's done bad things to people (robbed people, committed home invasion, taken people's money and drugs) and these people are after her.'' Reporter states that one of these people came to OPWI's house looking for Ashley and scared Kiara. Ashley recently got out of jail, stayed with OPWI for a couple of days, left last Friday telling Kiara she would be back in a couple of hours, didn't return
I had picked the idea of Cole laughing insanely by the fire because it showed what he was capable of doing when he wasn’t able to control his anger. This scene displays the “Old Cole”, who wanted to cause trouble and abscond from the island. He wasn’t taught the ways to calm himself down, like the ancestor rock, or the wading into the pool and staying there until he was numb. Cole hadn’t known of the background of his father either, how he was abused by his parents. Additionally, Cole hadn’t known how to forgive or heal, such as helping Peter, and forgiving himself.
The underlying issues in both cases are racial discrimination. For Cheryl Boulden in the affirmative action case the issue is being “an African American woman among the good ol’ boys in Indiana.” She was recruited because of race and her permanent handicap was seen as an asset for a diversity program lacking any. Yet these qualities made her a target of racism. Susan Finn’s ethnic discrimination presents a dilemma of how to deal with a contract physician’s abusive behavior “toward Hispanics and female staff as well as patients” (Reeves, 2006, p. 79). While the issues of racial and gender discrimination is not unusual, the failure of these agencies to address multiple complaints is.
“Why can’t you just believe me when I say I’m sorry and won’t ever hurt anybody again?” (pg. 81) Cole, recites that he is sorry once more, but again, nobody believes him. He is not truly sorry but rather is trying to avoid going to jail. To him, everything is either a game or somebody else's fault. “Cole figured he wouldn’t even be here if Peter Driscal had known how to fight back.”

Charlotte Beers became Ogilvy & Mather 's first outsider CEO after its acquisition by WPP Group Plc in 1991. According to her memo dated May 19th, Beers ' objective was to "re-invent" the mega-agency, whose inertia and complacency had eroded its competitiveness since the 1980s. In fact, Beer 's tenure at Ogilvy constituted a re-creation of the agency, redefining its aims, processes, people, and structure in reaction to the demands placed by the changing advertising industry.
