My father always said, "learn to walk before you jump" and for years that's what I've tried to do. But what's the point if all you keep doing is tripping along on the road of your future. All I've ever known is hard work and plenty of failures. However, without failure, there wouldn't be a success. Even in grade school, I knew I couldn't make it. Yet, somehow by some miracle, I'm still kicking it to make it through. Most times I felt like just like throwing the towel and saying it quits but I knew there wasn’t an easy way out of straight up hard work. I’ve been held back, I’ve failed many exams, even got into trouble along the way, Yet here I am wondering what I’m still fighting for. All I ever do is try my hardest to show people I
I remember waking up that day and that feeling in my stomach, knowing what was about to happen. Growing up I knew about my father's sickness. My family, I recall, was always supportive. No one ever thinks about how one day, everyone you’re around for years, can just vanish. I cherished my friends as I was growing up. I lived there for a majority of my life, up until fourth grade. I remember sitting at a neighbor's house and having the mother come into the room and inform me that I need to be home swiftly. As I ran home, my head was crowded with thoughts to the point where I could not even think about why I was supposed to be home quickly. That day marked the transition of what would be the biggest change in my life. As by dad became sicker,
They say that there is nothing to fear but fear itself, yet I tend to disagree. Our world is packed full of things to be afraid of. As a child, we are afraid of the dark or monsters hiding underneath our beds; but, as we grow with wisdom and age, those fears become bigger and more worldly. We fear things like terrorism or illness. The fear that consumes me most is that my best might never be enough.
I put forth all of my energy and effort into reaching higher pinnacles of success. Overall, I am accustomed to the principles of hard work and dedication. While the idea of failure is always discouraging, it is important for me to be inspired to disregard any hesitation so that I may fulfill my ambitions of becoming a powerfully successful young
Life is full of challenges, everyday you won't know what kind of problem you will face next. When I was young and still learning about my life in this world, every problem and challenge were stressful to me. I know that feeling of losing hope, but instead of just letting it be, I got back up and faced my problem. It’s a great feeling to have the power to do something that I once thought was impossible. I consider myself a person who lacks determination. I used to just give up on something that was too challenging for me to accomplish or approach. But the worse feeling about giving up is not that you gave up, but It’s that you looked down on yourself and didn’t believe in your own ability. It doesn't matter if other people look down on you, but you should never
“ To persevere is important to everybody. Don’t give up. Don’t give in. There is always an answer to everything.” ~ Louis Zamperini
I come from a family of 7 so growing up, my parents never had money to put their kids through college. Even with money being so tight, my parents pushed me to obtain the finer things in life. They taught me to never live with regret because you only have one life. I want to show my parents that not only did they raise an influential young man, but also someone with passionate ambitions. The only way I know to gain a career beyond my current circumstances is to attend college and earn a degree to obtain a good-paying career. The path to success is not an easy one and I know there will be many challenges for me to overcome but I have lived a life built on challenges. If I work hard enough, then I will be able to accomplish any and all of my ambitions.
Growing up in a developing nation might be a good thing for someone with ambition - is a fact I realized at the age of 16 as soon as I had failed in 6 subjects at school. Ever since that great fall, I have come to believe in the power a challenging life. I believe in the transformational energy that lies within us all. To me, the true recipe of success consists of work, gut, and willpower. Currently, I am majoring in Marketing at School of Business and Economics, North South University, where my academic performance is smooth. However, I find the greatest confidence in my ability to convert learning into execution.
Everyone has a chance to do something remarkable in their life. At one point, everyone stops living (which is unfortunate), and what they leave behind becomes their legacy.
“ The struggle you're in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow. Don’t give up,” stated Robert Tew. It is important to never give up because you may never get a second chance, and you can be successful later in life.
Until this day my mom always tells me to never surrender in school and to try my hardest to be successful. As Vince Lombardi quotes “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.” My interpretation of this quote towards school includes a lot of dedication but weather you pass or fail the task you study hard for, you have put time into making yourself better. As I grew older every day there would be obstacles in life, some that I would overcome and some obstacles that I would not. One major obstacle in life that really impacted my life was when the doctors discovered that my brother had schizophrenia. This sickness is a long lasting disorder that causes the person to have breakdowns, bad thoughts, and
As humans we tend to give up because the future looks bleak instead of holding up high and realizing that the world is full of options, and options often lead to great potential. It is only a matter of having a positive attitude towards life and just do it as Nike says.
It seems as if there are not enough hours in a day for me anymore. Months feel like weeks and weeks feel like days. The more I wish time would slow down, the faster it seems to pass by. I have an abundant amount of goals to achieve per day. The list becomes greater as I become older. Since I have always known that I have a passion for helping others, I decided that working in the medical field would fulfill the hunger I have to help others. I know that as a senior in high school I do not have to be certain nor set my mind on only perusing one career. I have to keep an open mind and explore that interest me. Although I do not have to know, I have always wanted to become an orthodontist. Knowing this at an early age has
Only if you never give up, only if you keep working towards your goal, only then, will you achieve what you want. Many famous people throughout history have said that not giving up is the key to success. You were probably taught at school to never give up too. So why do people do it? Is it because their task is “too hard”? If it was easy, everyone would do it. Don't think of it as “too hard” think of it as a “challenge”. Thinking something as “too hard” is like shooting yourself in the foot, you haven't tried, and yet, your already willing to give up. Having a positive mindset will get you where you want to be, it will help you be who you want to
You don’t ever think about how important certain moments are going to be, until that's all you have left to remember someone by. This is a phrase that I hold dearly to me and this is what life has taught me. I had a friend, a best friend that I loved and could always count on no matter what. I’m going to tell you about the exact moment that I realized what kind of friend I really had, and the exact moment my whole world was crushed. This is what life has taught me.
The ways to deal with ups and downs during a journey outweighs the reasons to stop pursuing your journey by a lot. Sometimes you have to get knocked down lower than you have ever been to stand taller than you ever were. Once you reach your destination or goal, the satisfaction will feel ten times better knowing you got through all of that by yourself. Having shown that...are you going to fight through the ups and downs or let them tear you
