College Board Situation Analysis

The four college events I attended were a college sponsored visit to the RSID. The RSID is a museum located in providence which features multiple pieces of art created by recognized names in art making. My Art history professors hosted the event, we were to visit the museum and learn more about art. The history of art, how it started and what is considered the norm in art making. Right now, we look up to Western Europe for most of our art, and we rely on the genius behind the picture like a Picasso who made a piece of art. In the museum, we discovered that artist including American artist started to differ from the norm by doing abstract pieces, one of those artist is Jackson Pollock and his autumn rhythm number 30. If I was the host of this event I think I would not change very much except the location, we could try to go to other locations. Other museum with a greater collection of art, the pieces found in the RSID were beautiful pieces but other museum like le louvre in Paris have a better and higher

Working as a loss control consultant for XYZ manufacturing company, various aspects of information need to be acquired prior to visiting. Assessing procedures for safety awareness and loss prevention practices, while reporting outcomes, and then deliberating with the underwriters. Within XYZ manufacturing company these areas include the following topics: record logs, the number of workers, ergonomics, the hazard level, training and orientation plans, and previous work recovery programs. Our society revolves around the intelligent and prestigious; not because they make more money or demand respect due to their title, but because the amount of knowledge and experience they portray to the community does not only benefit their own livelihood, but ours as well. To reach these levels of prominence, being a college graduate will increase your chances of doing so. Although college expenses might seem overwhelming, it is a smart investment that will lead to more opportunities, such as higher paying jobs, rewarding intellectual aspects, and above all provides a consistent and steady income.

This statistic is remarkably low, considering the growing amount of young adults attending college. In-state tuition is expensive for most citizens, as out-of-state costs are completely unaffordable. Brightwater Community College System is a rapidly growing community college system located in the central Georgia area. This community college system is comprised of four separate colleges and a systems office located in downtown Atlanta; these colleges are the Cobb County College (CCC), Atlanta Metropolitan College (AMC), Brightwater North College (BNC), and Brightwater Macon College (BMC). Brightwater has an unduplicated student headcount of 75,000 and the colleges enrollment has consistently grown year over year. At the helm of the college system is the system’s President Dr. James Lowe; Lowe has served as the President of the college system for 17 years and has seen the college grow from one standalone college in downtown Atlanta to the 4 college system that exists today. Lowe is planning to announced a three-year succession plan at the end of which he plans to step down from the role of President and turn the reigns of the institution over to another individual. Part of Lowe’s three-year plan involves a realignment of the organization’s instructional and student services to meet the future needs of Brightwater.

College has become more expensive over the years. Even though out of state students pay higher tuition than in state students, this does not seem fair. It is wrong to say that resident’s taxes go towards public universities because a majority of their taxes do not indeed go directly towards paying college tuition. In fact, taxes have not increased throughout the years but college tuition continues to rise. The status quo states that out of state students should be paying more than in state students. Even though a small portion of resident’s tax dollars goes to fund public university tuition it is unfair to have out-of-state students pay almost double the tuition that in-state-students pay. Going to community college was not part of the original game plan when deciding where to apply junior year of high school. The original plan was to attend a college I was accepted into in New York city and it seemed as easy as clicking accept until it came to planning out the financial logistics and reality took the upper hand. Almost two years later and I feel the relief of being debt-free but there also lies the lingering feeling of regret. Hi Hong Phuc Nguyen, I suggest that Learning Resource Center is very useful for Cypress college students. I often go to there once or twice a week. In the first semester, I had an orientation in here. I am taken around here by the office assistants. Then, I know a lot of things in here. After that, I often go to there to study or need to help. I share room with another family who have 2 babies . So that, it is too noisy for me to study. It is essential to me to study in slient place. When I go there, I am free to use computers with wifi connection. Besides that, I can meet tutors to ask them what English lesson I can not understand in classes. And then , I can count time to get credit fot my EsL classes. I highly recommend other students

Joanne- Levy-Prewitt’s belief that public services are necessary for college is an optimistic point of view and is really useful. College Board is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1900 by the New York Board of Regents under the New York Education Law. It was created to link students to college success and help increase access to higher education. It’s currently has a member association made up of over 6,000 international two and four year colleges, secondary schools, universities, and higher education systems (2014). The College Board website is multifaceted and helps students to research institutions of interest, explore potential majors, sign up and prep for admissions exams, understand financial aid, and learn about the college application process. Each year the organization helps more than seven million students prepare for their transition into college (2014).

I also decided to go to Delta College because it was the best fit for me. I think it is a great school that has a lot to offer.
