Kitchener, ON is where I would build my golf course. For golf courses you don’t want a place that is overly cold or people won’t come as often to play, it would be better to have a indoor golf course in colder climates. Kitchener has hot summers that are great for outdoor golf, and winters that get to -6; cold enough that frost would form or have a thin layer of snow. You want a place that you don’t have to build yourself, it is better to find a place that already has some trees and slight hills. Kitchener has broad-leaved forests and mixed forests; which are good for shade and decoration, meaning you wouldn’t have to plant more trees. Plus the lowest you would want the population to be to build a golf course is 10,000. Kitchener has 22.5

Four years ago I would have never expected to be a golf team captain. Due to my variety of hobbies and interests, I like to consider myself a jack of all trades so it was hard to decide on what sports to play in high school. Upon asking my father if he had any recommendations, he told me that if I could learn the fundamentals of golf I would have a tool that could benefit me for a lifetime. I wrote down golf on the dotted registration line and, well, forgot about it.
*Ring, ring, ring.* I was nervously sweating and pacing around the room. It seemed like it took forever for him to pick up. Then all of a sudden a clear, short, deep, authoritative voice said, “Hello.” It startled me a bit, then I replied, “Hey Jim this is Andria. I was calling you because you told me to call you in March and I was wondering if I could work at Lincoln Greens Golf Course this year?” Jim replied, “Sure.” Unanticipatedly I heard, “Click.” Just like that I got my first job and from that moment on my life had changed for the better.
Tiger Woods has been hailed as one of the greatest golfers, if not athletes, of all time. He has trumped other golfers and sports observers for the past 19 years as he has climbed and prevailed in the golf world. Tiger’s success has been accredited to many factors in his life, and has varied throughout the years having his ups and downs. The purpose of this paper is to give a valid argument as to why Tiger Woods could possibly be the greatest golfer of all time.
The sport that I have dedicated the most time to, golf, has become a part of me—in my soul. To me, golf is more than a sport; it is a lifelong journey of training to temper myself both mentally and physically. Playing golf opens my eyes to observe the world in a unique way, and it lets me taste the bliss of striving. The Georgia State Golf Championship in my sophomore year was one of the most memorable experiences that influenced me, not only by contributing to my interest in golf, but also by building my character and teaching me life lessons. It did not push me to the road of being a professional golfer, but it instilled the spirits of a golfer within me.
No one knows who first played frisbee golf there have been many accounts of it through history disk golf was officially started Modern day disc golf started in the late 60’s. The early frisbee golf courses were “object courses”, using anything from trees, trash cans, light poles, chicken wire baskets, pipes to fire hydrants as targets. The roots of the sport began when “Steady” Ed Headrick designed the modern day Frisbee Captivated by the flight and feeling of control he could master with the Frisbee, Ed saw potential for the disc well beyond what anyone had envisioned or imagined.
“Advice, like youth, probably wasted on the young” is the actual title of a column featured in the Chicago Tribune that has become a legend, commonly known as the commencement speech entitled, “Wear Sunscreen”. Mary Schmich’s now infamous words were first published by the Tribune on June 1, 1997. They were subsequently, albeit inaccurately, attributed to the notorious author, Kurt Vonnegut, for his alleged address at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology graduation. This is one of the first instances of something to “go viral” as it circulated through the early internet, primarily via email (Caro). Those same words made their way to Australian movie director Baz Luhrmann, who in a collaborative effort, put them to music in a song titled, “Everybody’s Free (to wear Sunscreen)” which made it all the way to number 45 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list in April of 1999 (Billboard).

The best baseball tournament in my life. Occurred when I was about twelve years old. This was a team of eleven and twelve year old category called the Apaches. We were champions in Puerto Rico, and thanks to that we got to travel to the tournament. The tournament was in Dallas, Texas. It was a long trip from Puerto Rico; first, we had to go to Fort-Lauderdale.
When I first came to Lake Highland in seventh grade my parents wanted me to be on a team to get to know people and the only sport I knew was golf. I came to the tryouts with no experience of tournaments, hammy down clubs from my sister, and not appropriate golf attire. I tried very hard for the team, but I did I didn't have the skills to make it on. It was very devastating for me because I have never been turned down before, but I knew that I had to change. After this failure I decided that I should try harder in golf. I never did take the sport seriously and barely practiced, but after being turned down I decided to step up my game. I started to practice harder and more often by my own choice. I also started to play in tournaments, which I

When I was on fall break in 2014, my family and I visited Bellarmine University, and I fell in love with idea of going to college there. It is also one of the most expensive colleges in Kentucky. Talking to an admissions worker, however, I learned about their golf team, and they suggested that as one means of helping pay for college. Until that visit, I had not seriously considered playing golf in college because I really did not think I was good enough. I realized, however, that if I worked hard enough, then I might get some college coaches to notice me; I might even pique the interest of Bellarmine’s coach.
It just always seemed like something that I had to do. Ever since I was ten years old I’ve been playing, practicing, and talking about golf. I always have had a love for the game, but I never really thought about how stressful and painful it made my life. Even at ten I thought my future had already been planned for me. I was already thinking of life as a professional golfer. I was certain that I would go play golf for a big college, and instant fame would soon follow. It wasn’t until the last couple of years that life has changed for me.
Many golfers struggle with their golf score. I was one of them. Whether it be to many puts, bad short game, bad long game, or just you can't seem to stay out of the lake. This was a problem for trying to compete with other golfers to make it too sectional being as only five players could go. As the season went on I improved but still shot a lot higher than I should have been that's why I began this experiment because it was beginning to drag me down and hold me back. Threw this experiment I began to try and change my problem of a high score which was caused by a bad slice off the tee box and one or two more putts than I needed. So here are some of the things I found when changing it up and the scores I got.
