Both are written by Rick Riordan and are based on Greek Mythology, the books share many close similarities but some differences as well through style of writing, the themes and also the setting. The style of writing is the first major difference and similarity between the two books. Both of the books that both them are written in the present. Both of the books have themes of sacrifice, love and teamwork. Examples of sacrifice from The Titan’s Curse is where Bianca takes on the monster by herself to allow her friends to escape, a further example is Zoe Nightshade fighting for Percy to defeat her father Atlas. The theme sacrifice from The Son of Neptune can be spotted in the book when Hazel kills herself in the past to stop a giant from growing, another example is Percy putting his life in danger in order for his friends to be able to escape. Love can be shown throughout The Titan’s Curse where Percy is determined to rescue his friend Annabeth due to the love he has for her. A line from the book which supports this is, “ This wasn’t good. I needed to find Artemis, and I needed to figure out what doomsday creature was. I also needed to know if Annabeth was still alive, and how to rescue her. How could I ask all that in one question? A voice inside me screaming Ask about Annabeth! That’s what I cared the most.” In The Son of Neptune, love is shown when the characters Frank and Hazel are in love with each other and try to win their love for each other. A line which shows Frank hinting feelings for Hazel is, “On sentry duty with Hazel, he would try to take his mind off it. He loved spending time with her. Teamwork in The Titan’s Curse can be noted when Percy and his friends are working together to complete their quest. An example in The Son of Neptune is where the Percy teams up
Like I said before, there are major differences between these two. Some are very visible; the names of the characters. There are others that even though are minor, they are completely unnecessary. This minor differences are small details that we remember from the book, and we were expecting to
The first similarity is that both of the novels are written by Negro slave. They described the cruel experience in southern plantation and escape from the southern slavery to northern freedom.
As for differences, I came upon many that I think show how the authors might’ve felt about star crossed love, young love, or just love in general. The little details I picked at really do draw lines between the two stories and give them both different meaning.
Both share the same plot, and there are very little differences between the two. These are a few of the differences that I was able to notice between the book and the movie. There are several others throughout the story, but they are all just as minute and in the end they have no effect on the outcome of the story. Overall, I was very impressed with the movie and it was very true to the book. I have seen my share of movies that were adaptations from books that did not do the book justice, but this one is almost exactly like the book, so it was very
Another difference between the two is the way in which characters are presented. In the novel the audience is introduced to Billy's captive mate, Montana Whildhack, as she is first placed into the Tralfamadorian zoo. She is place in the cohabitation with Billy while she is unconscious and is filled
Both the novel and the film share indistinguishable qualities. For example,They both have the same places as the novel. There were the DX,Tasty Freeze, the lot,the church, and the characters houses.Since they had the same places the same things happened. They have the same places so,they have the same scenes. However, they seem identical, they have a lot of differences.
The biggest similarity between the book, and the movie is the theme. The theme in both the book, and the
A very important similarity between the stories, is that they both are in the view point of a Union soldier in the nineteenth century, during the civil war. The similarities between these two books combine the ideals of battle and war, also the resemblances show how alike the two protagonists of the stories are.
First and foremost, the fiction and nonfiction aspect comes into play when talking about these two specific books.
The similarities of the book are very simple and easy to point out. In both works, they cover the same events in
Both works showed how gods are uncaring and how they are puppet masters messing with people's lives. Homer does show more characteristics of how the gods can be good and helpful to humanity, but he also shows how they are vengeful and unkind. Both Sophocles and Homer show that the gods are more human that they are believed to be, they have human characteristics and traits, so that means that they can have human problems like anger, boredom, or vengefulness. The gods are imperfect, just like anyone else.
The Chronicles of Narnia can be found to be similar or even somewhat inspired by The Odyssey. The two pieces both follow closely with the Hero’s Journey; in the beginning of the story, the older Pevensie children deny what Lucy says about what’s in the wardrobe and refuse to go see it with her, before they eventually have to enter it after hiding from the owner of the house. Similarly, in The Odyssey, Odysseus is at first reluctant to go to war, but eventually must as Agamemnon discovers he is capable of going to war and forces him to go with. In The Chronicles of Narnia, the children have the supernatural helpers the lion and Mr. Tumnus, similar to how Odysseus had Athena, and in both cases these helpers aided them
While there are many differences in the different books ranging from the time that they take place to how the author writes about the killings of the characters.
One major difference is that the they said that they live in the west and east side but in the novel is is the south and north. In the novel they said west and east. They are separated by there monny the east side people have no money are poor in the west side
