This paper is a critical analysis paper focusing on the movie “A Walk to Remember”, featuring Shane West as Landon Rollins Carter and Mandy Moore as Jamie Elizabeth Sullivan-Carter”. I will analyze the movie by using our sociological literature in the area of long term death, also known as lingering death. I will compare to how people react to slow lingering death based on sex, gender, upbringing and social relationship as well as analyze the characteristics of lingering death and the consequences that can be associated with people destined with lingering death, whether they choose with the choice of being anger which may be including hatred, violence, or loss of social life. Landon and Jamie begin to meet and be active along after school, however he remains cautious of ruin his image, as he is being friendly with an unknown like Jamie. At one purpose he makes a mean suggestion to be “secret friends", and Jamie 's is hurt but however she takes a mature response which visibly embarrasses Landon. He soon stops being mean to Ms., Sullivan afterward and treats her sort of as friend. They soon forget all of this happened and get a basic understanding of each other.
At the start of their school play, Jamie shocks Landon and along with the entire audience with her poise. Once Jamie finishes, Landon improvises and kisses her, which was never included in the makings of the play. Afterwards, Jamie avoids Landon till Landon 's friends play a cruel prank on Jamie and he protects her even when his friends try to attack her with words and she eventually warms up to him once more. Landon asks Jamie on a date presently once, however Jamie says her father does not permit her to go out. Landon asks her father if he could date his girl, remarking that he is yearning for an opportunity at redemption along with her and at life through her. Jamie 's father is reluctant initially, however he provides the opportunity.

So when Wallace goes to football practice he is told he can't play until his detention is over.when he gets to the gym for his detention he was being judged by all the drama kids. Wallace starts giving suggestions for the play and starts becoming friend with the drama kids meanwhile not being in football has made him fall apart from his football friends. One day when on his way to the gym he hears everyone arguing he ask what's wrong and they explain that someone vandalised the play and wrote old shep dead mutt. Wallace is accused of this but then trudi davis saves him and convinces everyone to go his side. Mr.Fogelman notices this and tells him that he can leave the play. Then everyone hears the news and Wallace's team ask him to come back but he refuses and joins drama the play gets getting pranked and after the 3rd one they find wallace's scrimmage jersey but he was being framed and wallace loses everyone's trust and asked to leave. Then on the day of the play he finds the tape of when his scrimmage jersey and he figures out it was Dylan Rachel's little brother who was doing all the pranks was stolen and he goes on lookout at the play even though he not allowed to come then he catches Dylan and asks Dylan what is he doing dylan says it too late and that he attached a cherry bomb to old shep so Wallace goes running to stop it from exploding when he sees old shep he grabs old sheps pillow and he dives to
As the year progresses, Conrad becomes interested in this girl name Jeannine Pratt, who just move to Lake Forest. They go on dates and spend a lot of time together. That spring his parents decided to go on a get away vacation just for two of them, since Beth believes Calvin worries too much about and needs some time to relax. So Conrad goes stay at his grandparents house. One day, He saw in the newspaper that his friend Karen has committed suicide and past away. He was very shock about this. Jealousy throughout the story is shown by Hart towards Jamie over Mitsy. “[Hart] envied [Jamie], [he is] jealous [and has] pit[y on] [him]self.” Hart and Jamie’s friendship started off well when Hart approach Jamie to invite him to his birthday party. Pinsky’s use of imagery, symbolism, and tone create a poetic experience that is like death, something every reader can relate to. She realizes that Jody is very controlling and with this trait, it would be hard for Janie to complete an aspiration of being free to say and do what she wanted. He was almost as bad as Logan was and she suffered this for twenty years until Jody was on his deathbed where she finally speaks her mind after feeling like her words have been trapped inside her all along. After Jody dies she meets her a man named Tea Cake who had what Janie needed to accomplish her dreams. Marrying Tea CAke she finds that he really is the one but he sadly passes away. Janie still accomplished her dream even though the man that made it happen.
We snuck in quietly, and I tensed when I saw Cristy Pines waiting on the counters. She looked like she just got in a fight with a bear with her messy hair and dark stains on her clothes. I wondered what they were and tried to get closer, but then I saw something that made me stop right in the middle of my tracks. Diary, you are probably wondering what it was because I have told you so much already, so I will now explain what I saw and what I did after I saw it.
Cora Lee had many children. As a child she was obsessed with baby dolls. Every Christmas she would get a new baby doll. Until she was 13, when her father said she was too old. Beginning in her sophomore year of high school, she started having babies one after another. Cora Lee neglects her children as they get older since she can only take care of them while they’re babies. Kiswana catches one of Cora Lee’s children eating out of a trash can and takes him to his mom to tell on him. Kiswana then see how filthy Cora Lee’s apartment is. Kiswana offers her to come and bring the children to a play. So Cora Lee cleans her children up and they all go to the play with Kiswana. Cora Lee is touched by seeing how much her children enjoyed the play and from that day to vowed to be a better mother.
