Introduction: Hello ladies and gentlemen. Today I have the honor of introducing a man who has influenced the lives of many through the questionable art form of video games. Originally, it was not Dan Houser’s intention to become a game designer, but over time he became fascinated with storytelling. Dan’s brother, Sam, was working for a music label that was trying to branch out into games. Dan joined them and eventually their first game, Grand Theft Auto, was released. Video games are an ever-growing franchise that is constantly undergoing change. Ever since the dawn of video games, new consoles, games, developers, and teams have come together, fallen apart, triumphed, and failed. What is it that has allowed some to thrive where others failed? Several different factors have changed and influenced the world of gaming, including the history that is continuously being written, the people who have built the games behind the scenes, and, of course, the actual video games themselves. Numerous video games have been more successful than others, but identifying what components set the successful apart from the unsuccessful is something definitely worth observing.
Throughout history man kind has always searched for ways to entertain himself, each time developing new activities and games. Video games have become a very popular way to spend time and have fun from the 1970’s up to now. With new developments appeared different video game genres from adventure to racing, but the violent video games appear to be the most popular ones (Shin, 2003), for example: shooters, fighting and video games where you have to eliminate, destroy, or kill your enemies.

Daniel Currier was a soldier who trained to enter battle, nonetheless, it was not the exciting adventure he most likely expected, he probably expected to battle with the South. Even when he did get onto the battlefield, it was more horrific than he would have ever thought After this horrifying encounter with war he decided to and headed back home to his loving family and work as a farmer. As the following describes, war is not pleasant, and coming home can be comforting.
Jim Bridger was born on March 17, 1804 , He lived in Richmond VA. He died on July 17, 1881 near Kansas City Mo. Jim Bridger also goes by the name James Bridger. In 1812 Bridget's dad , a surveyor and an innkeeper moved his family to Illinois farm near St. Louis Mo. Bridger explored many places. In 1824 Bridger was the first white man to visit Great Salt lake. He was the first to explore the geysers and sights of Yellowstone region. In 1843 he established Fort Bridger in southwestern Wyoming. In different states his visited he has different names .
Ralph ”Sonny’’ Barger Is famous for being member of the Hell’s Angels outlaw motorcycle club. He was a founding member and became president of the Oakland, California chapter of this organization. Some believe that Sonny is them most iconic figure to come out of Hell’s Angels, becoming the face for the organization.This paper will explore who Sonny Barger is and how he influenced a group that itself is surrounded by over dramatised journalism, police reports and stories from all night benders.

A school teacher, a husband, and a father, Dan Coughenour is a very dedicated man. Dan was born on January 22, 1969 to Richard and Sue Coughenour. He grew up in Macon, Georgia where he lived with his mom and dad and two brothers. He was the middle child in his family and didn’t mind it at all. As a young boy, he went to a private school. Once he went to highschool he decided to go to a public school. As a child, his favorite memory was getting to see his grandparents in North Carolina. They lived eight hours away so he didn’t get to see them but once or twice a year. He also enjoyed going to Sunset Beach, NC every summer. After high school he went off to Valdosta State College planning to become a school teacher.

What started out as a disagreement between mother and son has led me into the controversial world of Grand Theft Auto. My fifteen-year-old son desperately wants this game. All I can hear are the stories of violence associated with this game, which causes this mother’s heart to shudder. So began the search to back up my denials for his ownership of this game. The Grand Theft Auto series of games has been surrounded by controversy, however the research does not always back up public opinion as will be demonstrated in this paper.
