Even though many American parents view football just as a dangerous sport, I however disagree because with the recent understanding of brain trauma and advancement of equipment it has made football the safest it has ever been, still bringing scholarships to young athletes and giving them the opportunity to get a degree in college. I truly believe football molds young kids into hardworking adults, while allowing others the opportunity to make something of themselves. Football has been a part of my whole life, without it I would not be where I am at today. I know from personal experience the dangers of the sport. I have had multiple injuries through my high school experience. Some were serious and required surgery, while other ones not so severe. The experience outweighs the dangers that occur in football. It taught me to keep fighting and helped me learn to be blessed to have such supportive parents. I will never regret playing football. “One of the greatest experiences football brings young athletes is the feeling of being apart a “family”. Having each other’s back is the main concept the sport teaches. No matter what the outcome may be, you fight till the bitter end with your brother on that field. The games friendships, and memories are things cherished forever. It is like a job when it comes to football. “This game asks young men to push them further than they ever thought they could go”. You must be on time every practice and game. If you are caught slacking you would be
My first reason of why i think that football is a dangerous sport is because there has been researchers who have discovered that it has some serious injuries. The Injury Research and the Columbus Children’s Hospital did a research to compare the injuries that adults and teenagerss get. In the year of 2007, they made a research and about 4 out of 1,000 students got injured during high school and about 8 out of 1,000 college students were exposed with a injury. But the linebackers and the running backs were also at risk to get a serious injury. According to How dangerous is high school football it says that, “according to the study, published in August of 2007 issue of the American Journal of Sports Medicine, four out of every 1,000 high school football exposures resulted an injury while eight out of every 1,000 collegiate football exposures resulted an injury” and it also says that, “position’s with the
I think that kids shouldn't play football because it is too dangerous. People get concussions every day when they play football. After repeatedly bashing their skulls football players get concussions, caused by the spongy tissue in the brain hitting the hard skull. It is very painful to get a concussion, and leaves permanent damage to the brain. As well as being excruciatingly painful, and possibly never being the same, with many issues. "In milder cases, athletes can be left with lifelong pain, memory lapses, aggression, depression, personality changes, and many other issues."(Shotz[11]). This sport just keeps getting more and more dangerous, manifesting on itself, becoming more and more brutal as players become more competitive. There are
American Football is a sport our country has loved. With the sport comes many injuries that end the players career and alters his life forever. Football is a sport filled with spirit, love and teamwork. Uniting millions of fans around the world. On the downside of football many players experience an injury that might be life threatening or career ending. Football is a very unsafe sport. The game of football leaves many men with hardships and trauma that can last a lifetime.
Football is an American sport that consists of two teams composed of 11 men. On the 100-yard field, they go head to head, trying to keep the other team from advancing the ball down the field toward the end zone, resulting in a touchdown or field goal. Football pits the two teams against each other. The offense, which possesses the ball, is placed against the defense, which tries to prevent the offense from advancing the ball. Several different resources can contribute to a team’s success. Some of those resources are funds, talent level of players, and favorable position on the field, which makes it easier to score points. The four sociological perspectives, structural functionalism, conflict theory, symbolic interactionism, and social exchange theory, all credit different reasons for one team being able to achieve this goal more often than another team. Nevertheless, any of the sociological perspectives you view the sport from, football is a very complex entity. Football is more than just a group of men pounding one another. There is a complex equation that eventually equals success; the differences between these perspectives are the components of the equation that are most heavily weighed on for success. Although it may be a combination of all three perspectives that leads to success in football, it is fair to look at the game from each perspective individually because each holds important insight into what truly leads to a successful football team.
Gun’s are very dangerous, dangerous enough to kill. So is football a dangerous killer as well? Since football became a popular form of entertainment, fans and non-football fans debate on whether it’s safe or unsafe for students, and adults to play. Yes, in the past football was highly dangerous, and some would say it can kill and has led to death. But now, modern day football is safe. It is safe to play because of the conditioning/practicing, the changes in the rules, and the equipment have all been changed in some way, still improving till this day.
Football is a rough sport. Many fans of the game watch it for the hard hits. These hard hits and the potential for injury is part of what makes the game so exciting. Some people say that football is too brutal and should be banned. Parents all over the United States don’t allow their children to play because of the risk of head injuries. Others allow their sons, and every now and then their daughters, to play and risk injury for a chance to earn a college scholarship and for a small percentage of players, the chance to play in the National Football League (NFL).
Should parents let their children play football? Is the risk of head injury too great for children to be allowed to play the game? Should schools programs change the rules of the game to make it less dangerous? Football teaches teamwork, discipline and responsibility. Although some people think that football is dangerous, some think it's safe because they have the best equipment, helmet training and neck stabilization to keep the neck safe when they land wrong, any exercise keeps children healthy and team sports give them this opportunity.
Have you ever wondered about the consequences of football and how it affects the brain over the years of hits to the head? Football is an intense and physical sport that is highly watched in the United States. The most viewed sport in the United States is Football. There are also 32 teams in the National Football League. Would I let my son play football? The real question is why would any parent. Children or adults that play football can get Injured, Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), and even die from years of playing football. Football is dangerous sport that I wouldn't risk my sons health for.
Who doesn’t love the game of football? Fans are sitting on the bleachers with excitement because the team just scored a touchdown, not thinking of how dangerous it can be. People never think of the risk of playing football, mostly just how exciting and fun it is to watch. Despite football being known as America's most popular sport, football should be abolished because of lack of safety and health risks.
Despite the fanfare that comes with the game of football, I consider myself to be very lucky to have been exposed to the game at such a young age. Football is all about teamwork, where as some sports are more individual based. It is not like baseball where a player can hit a homerun and save your chances. In order for a football team to work, not only do all 11 players on the field have to work together, but the team must prepare to be successful well before the ball is first snapped. You always hear how football teaches young men to have a work ethic or to be better teammates, and while this true, for me football was about becoming a better person.
Even though tackle football is dangerous,It is one of the world's most favorite sports. Sports bring the friends and family together the fun times happen and people are trying to ban the world's favorite game! That´s nonsense this should not happen and here's why the injuries happening, the techniques that the coaches can teach, and not just football is experiencing the injuries.
Football is just to risky for me but some people love it. Plus i don't want a concussion and i don't like football. You don't need to do something that can get you hurt. Some football players lost their life to football you can get concussions, suffer memory loss and other brain disorders. You could also learn most football players play for fame or fortune. The article states if you get hit in the head rapidly you might get CTE that is a brain disorder. I think no person should play football if you can get hurt.
The number two unsung hero of the badminton equipment is the badminton string. Afterall, it is the string that is in contact with the shuttle on every stroke. How the string interacts with the shuttle is crucial to the feel of each stroke. Depending on your skill level and the style of your game, you should pick a string and tension that is suitable for your game. String manufacturers usually have ratings of different string characteristics at the back of the string package. Pick the items that are most important for your game.
Football was the most common sport watched.Until Futbol came along and took itś thunder. Football has been losing popularity and players due to the concussions. On many parents minds is, should my child play football? The benefits of playing football is the risk. A lot of parents think everyday should my child play football. Football is dangerous for kids who aren't tough, fast, and smart. Kids should decide if they went to play or not and I don't recommend this for everyone, but for those know that they have a chance.
Playing football has had the most impact on the development of my character. I started playing football when I was 5 years old. Playing football has taught me many valuable lessons. While playing football, I have better understood the values of hard work. Football taught me that the only way to succeed in something is by working harder than anyone else. Football has also taught me that when working with a team, everybody has an important role and if one person slacks off it hurts the entire team. There is no “I” in team and teamwork is a valuable life lesson. Whenever teammates are focused on individual accomplishments, instead of the team’s success, the team as a whole does not perform as well. I have learned through this that when you
