Determination is perhaps the most important quality for success. To be determined, you must have an eager need for your goal. One who is seriously determined, must also be persistent, this is how we see change and difference made. The early Christians in early Rome showed more than enough of both determination, and especially persistence. Without their efforts, Christianity would not be the number one religion in the world, with over two point one billion members (Infoplease); and not to mention its nearest competitor, Islam, almost half as large with one point three billion members. (wikipedia) The Roman Government would tear down and destroy places of worship, like the Church, to stop Christianity from growing any further. However, the Christian community would not give up and proceeded until another big step was made, Rise of the Papacy, the office or authority of the Pope. (dictionary.com) The creative intellectual leadership of the Church and Priests pushed foward to grow the religion into nearly all parts of Rome. This is when the final step was made. The failure of secular leadership, the teaching of now religion, (dictionary.com) and the growth of ecclesiastical leadership, the promotion of the teachings of the Christian Church. (merriam-webster) In 300 AD, Roman Law once again accepted the practice of Christianity. None of the success of growth could have been achieved without the eager determination of the earliest Christians which helped to spread Christianity to its popularity today. The teachings of Christianity will likely be around for a long time to come.
