Chief Rabbis Rabbi Dovid Lau and Rishon L'Tzion Rabbi Yitzchok Yosef strongly condemned the stabbing at the abomination march in Yerushalayim today by Yishai Schlissel. Six people were injured; some of them are in serious condition. Rabbi Yosef stated tonight that "the perpetrator's act is similar to a murderer's, and even more serious. It is unfathomable that an individual should raise a hand against a Jew, seemingly in the name of religion."

"I pray from the depths of my heart for the recovery of the injured, and I call upon the nation of Israel to restore unity and tolerance."

Rabbi David Lau, Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi said that the Torah forbids acts of violence and injury, especially attacks that attempt to cause death. Rabbi Lau said that
