The article, Consumption of Sweetened, Dried Cranberries may reduce UTI incidence in Susceptible Women, tested twenty women with a history of recurrent UTIs (at least 3 in the past year) when given informed consent. The number of subjects that were chosen was based on achieving a numerical power of 80% for each of the two tests. These two tests being, a UTI free status and changes in the E.Coli strain diversity. For the sample size, the mean age was 37, and the mean number of recurrent UTIs was 2.4 (4).There was a target sample size of 20 subjects, however, data from 3 of the subjects was removed due to further complications. There was a two week washout of antibiotics that was required before conducting the study however women taking prophylactic
