Treason! Treachery! Duncan is Murdered and Macbeth Hailed King!
The King's sons fled Scotland in fear and Macbeth is declared the right to the throne.
Anand Issac, STAFF REPORTER The admired and beloved King Duncan was found dead late last night on a visit to Macbeth's castle at Inverness. Once discovered, the king's sons, Donalbain and Malcolm, fled from Scotland and are held under suspicion for the cruel deed, resulting in Macbeth being the new king of Scotland. Duncan was found early in the morning by nobleman Macduff and was reported to be stabbed several times. The motives behind the murder are not yet understood, however, the nobles propose the idea that the murderer acted out of dire jealousy. Two drunken guards were found …show more content…

As Macbeth heard Duncan had been murdered by the guards, he was furious and executed the two guards immediately through pure anger. "O, yet I do repent me of my fury, that I did kill them," said a clearly distraught Macbeth, "The expedition of my violent love outrun the pauser, reason." Through all this utter confusion, Macduff proposed that the cruel deed was also affiliated with the cowards, Malcolm and Donalbain, as they had immediately fled from Scotland after the scene. "They were suborned [the guards]. Malcolm and Donalbain, the King's two sons, are stolen away and fled" announced Macduff, "which puts upon them, suspicion of the deed." As the sons fled from the country, the right to the throne was given to the worthy Macbeth. He will be crowned the King of Scotland in Scone and fill in what was lost. "I am honored to be crowned the new King of Scotland" said Macbeth, preparing for the coronation, "I will do my best to serve my people with bravery and
