There were many factors that contributed to the creation of the historic “black blizzards” also known as the era of the Dust Bowl. Some of the main factors were insufficient farming practices, heavy plowing, and drought. For instance, according to the YouTube video, the video discussed how farmers at the time were using methods that deprived the soil of its nutrients. The video goes on to explain how farmers were heavily plowing the fields which caused the elimination of natural grasses of the prairie that held the soil in place. Furthermore, the video explains how the drought contributed to the dust bowl because crops were not being watered, which allowed the topsoil of the crops to turn into dust.(Video). The Dust Bowl was inevitable mainly due to the fact that the natural lack of water kept farmers from reviving the land. Which lead the land to become a large desert. To add on farmers were using farming methods that greatly impacted the soils health and resilience. Furthermore, their farming ways not only killed the nutrients but eliminated native grass that held the soil together. Farmers damaged the ecology and agriculture of the lands. It was enviable that human destroy this land for the their own greedy purposes. In essence, humanity and nature were the causes of the Dust Bowl.

The Dust Bowl brought a countless amount of misfortunes to the natives and farmers of Oklahoma. The Dust Bowl had affected the mental health of the public and farmers crops. For instance, according to document A, “Henderson letter”, by Caroline Henderson, Henderson enlightens the Secretary of Agriculture, Henry Wallace on how Oklahoma was once a state that was thriving. Henderson explains how little towns have sprung up with new houses, trees, schools, etc. During
