Present Time Jolting upright in bed I searched for the button to turn off this annoying alarm. Not being able to find it I yanked the plug from the wall finally ending the loud shrieking noise. I lay back down and pulled my bright blue covers over my head. The brightness of the sun lightly shone through the comforter, warming the places where there wasn't a shadow. Ughh!! It's Saturday and I have nowhere to go to get away. Scrunching up my face I thought hard about what I could do. I patted around my bed searching for my phone. Grabbing around I snatched up what I thought was my phone but turned out to be my tv remote. Tossing the remote aside I sat up and started peeling off blankets until it was only my bed spread. My phone still wasn't in sight so I got up bouncing from foot …show more content…
The colors of the words were in a matt black. I randomly chose a pair of underwear, bra, and socks. Walking back over to my bed I placed the outfit out and strolled into my bathroom. Closing the door I turned around to make sure it was locked. I tiptoed up to the shower and turned it on, then closed my ocean themed curtains. Ambling towards the sink I took a good hard look at myself. I looked rough with dark circles under my almond shaped eyes and a super messy bun I put my hair into sleep. Leaning over the sink I turned it on for a few seconds and splashed water into my face. My sensitive white/gray eyes already reddening as I look back up into the mirror. With a small sigh, I opened the top right drawer and pulled out my hairbrush. I paced back and forth as I struggled to pull out the hair tie and work through the knots. After a few minutes, I sat my brush down and picked up my toothbrush and toothpaste. Hopping in the shower I hissed a little realizing it wasn't a cool lukewarm but hot and
Light rushes through a gap in the curtain flooding into my eyes. Irritated, I roll over onto my side, covering my face with an old pillow that smelt like cheese puffs. Consequently I’m itchy all over, must of left the door open and let the bed bugs bite. Crawling out of bed right leg, searching for the floor to regain reality and get out of bed. Ordinarily my eyes tried adjusting to the bright
I woke up on the very edge of my bed my blankets tossed on the floor and my head buried into a pillow. I groaned as I pushed myself off the bed picking up the blankets and laying them on the mattress. I stretched my arms and yawned as I walked over to my bathroom and twisting the knobs trying to find a perfect temperature.
I listened to her shout orders to her maids and the panicked pitter patter that followed. As I was left alone in the warm tub, I leaned back and lowered myself until the water was just below my nose. My eyes fluttered to a close as I allowed myself to enjoy the moment. This was a piece of heaven, never would I have imagined
My alarm blasted its sound in my ear, waking me up. I desperately wanted to go back to sleep, but it was another dreaded school day. Fighting my desire to continue sleeping, I walked over to the bathroom and splashed cold water from the sink on my face to wake myself up. Unfortunately, even that couldn’t completely shake my tiredness. “Oh well…” I sighed as I began stroking my hairbrush through the length of my chestnut-colored hair.
I couldn’t sleep. I looked at my somewhat dim, water powered alarm clock, wondering what time it was. 7:43. Way early. Despite being awfully comfortable, I got up, figuring I was just hungry. As I walked the the kitchen, I pondered about my snack. Carrots and orange juice usually is the best choice. ( This is actually a good midnight snack! You should try it! ) I made it to the fridge. As I opened it, I took in the cold air against my warm, cozy fur. Then I realized, that I was sweating. I dropped the blanket I had wrapped around me. Much better. I grabbed my carrots and orange juice, dragged the blanket behind me and took my time getting back to my room. I hopped onto the bed with my snack in hand, and turned on the TV with the remote. The button let out a quiet ‘click!’ as I pushed the smooth, plastic button, before the TV turned on.
The long, hot shower was exactly what she needed. She took her time, washed her hair and shaved. When she returned to her room wearing only a towel, she wasn’t alone. Cameron had showered and was sprawled naked across the bed.
Authors use forms of syntax, diction, imagery, tone, and argument to illustrate the point and feel that they want to get across to the reader. In this narrative, Edgar Allen Poe uses elements in his narrative to argue that although what he has experienced might not be so horrible in another's eyes, it has destroyed him. He uses syntax and diction to describe the rest of his narrative, and to reinforce his statements, which seems to contrast another when he states that this narrative will be wild, homely, and terrible'- giving the reader a feel of exaggeration- but also he states that what he says will be plain and succinct'- the truth. There is a sign of insecurity, confusion, and disbelief in this
When I arrive back at my home, I look in the bathroom mirror. My face reminds me of my mother’s. I inherited her nose, freckles, and auburn hair. I flick the faucet up, and clean the dust from my bright purple goggles. My bandana goes in the washing machine, to rid it of dust, and I take a shower.
Edgar Allen Poe was born January 19, 1809. He died October 7 1849. He only lived for forty years.
I groaned, brushing through my hair and running the straightener over it multiple times to get it straight. My hair hated me today and I hated it back, but when did my hair ever like me, honestly. Letting out a huff, I turned off the iron and went back into my bedroom, looking at the clothes on my bed.
Now, the first thing I needed to do was to fix my bedroom doorknob. It hadn’t been closing properly or locking for a while. A quick trip to Osh did the trick. That was easy. Next up- clean my room, which currently looked like a hurricane just whooshed by. I dove into my bed and started grabbing random shirts that had accumulated. The soft mattress felt so good, I had to take a breather. And of course,
He heard his alarm clock ring as loudly as a car horn. He threw himself out of his cozy bed and showered. He had been waiting for a long time. for this day. He knew he would miss the fresh smell of that crispy Irish soap his wife bought him.
Nestor was awakened by a very loud noise. It sounded like some extremely loud footsteps. They were so strong they shook the entire ground. Rocks began to fall from the caves roof. Then all rocks fell to the ground, and made the entire cave collapse. Nestor was buried under a big pile of rocks, and dirt.

I threw back my comforter and slowly rose out of my bed. The sun wasn’t even up yet; it felt like an injustice to be wasting these precious hours that I could be asleep to be getting ready to go to the doctor. Stumbling towards the bathroom, I brushed my
