Growing up everyone has their own experiences. These range from having your first kiss, to finding out that giraffes may not actually be real. However, no matter how life changing one of these experiences may be, the change doesn't occur overnight. Instead it’s a steady process where each single event builds on each other to make an individual who they are. With these experiences come moments of extreme highs as well as extreme lows, and while having a good day is the preference of the many, a bad day is what many of us take for granted. Sukhraj Dhillon explained this concept best when he wrote, “Good days give you happiness, and bad days give you experience.”” This quote rings true for many, however when we are faced with a bad day it often leaves us with much less than a positive mindset. And so today, we’ll form a better relationship …show more content…
bad. Next, we drudged through our day as we took a look at how bad trumps good every time. Before lastly wrapping up our day as we established the overall benefits we gain from a bad day. Bad days play an influential role in our lives, and while we wish they didn’t exist, without them we wouldn’t be where we are today as individuals. Therefore we need to change our perception of bad days from a negative one to a positive one. We also need to recognize that having a bad day has more impact than a good day. Once we come to recognize these facts as well as incorporate them in our lives we’ll begin to see bad days as not something that degrades us, but that builds us up. The shift towards seeing bad days as a beneficial experience will both enlighten us, as well as provide us with a better mindset when we are faced by unfavorable challenges. As famous pop star artist Miley Cyrus said, “Always gonna be another mountain, always gonna wanna make it move. Always gonna be an uphill battle. It’s the
Good and bad moods activate memories of experiences associated with those moods. Our judgments are not cold and logical: they are biased by our moods. When we are in a good mood, we see the world in a more friendly light, and our judgments are more positive. Likewise, when we are grumpy we evaluate things around us as being
Life is a journey filled of many surprises, and while one day you will lose 5 bucks, the other day you will find 10. Whether you broke your leg, you got the flu, or you got a bad grade, I believe that we can always make the best of every situation.
First, it’s important to positively change your mindset … . For example, people who are optimistic often found ways to take a bad situation and turn it into a motivational and empowering one that they can carry through their day. It saves any negative energy from getting in your way. Your optimistic traits can take a horrid, tiring, and slow day into an energetic, lively, and exciting one that you can benefit from. I remember when I was upset and lonely and my day was slow but when I tried to find the good in things I became happy again. Making the most out of the problem allows you to turn it into something enjoyable.
Thinking positively can be a difficult task, no matter the circumstance. When negativity fills you up like helium in a balloon you should always try to find the light in the darkness. Thinking positively doesn’t make the hard times disappear, it helps you survive negativity and the daily conflicts that challenge you. Looking on the bright side of things increases attentiveness, improves your ability to think, and leads to happier thoughts (Psychology Today). No matter what you are going through, you should always stay optimistic. “Man’s Search for Meaning” and “Dear Miss Breed” are great examples of how having a bright outlook can help you survive conflict.

Believe it or not, everyone sometimes have bad days. These days are days when nothing works well for you and the gloomy rainy weather perfectly fits your mood. These days are days where it´s like the world is against you and you wish you were never born.
You can ask a hundred different people about their opinion on life and you’ll probably get a hundred different answers. Yet an overlying message that may be heard would be that life will knock you down a couple of times. Graduating from high school and soon being on your own, will cause many to come to find out how true this message is. Bad days are destined to happen. There will be days when you’ll be in the library with bags under your eyes working on assignment that is due in 5 hours. There will be days you’ll be so exhausted that you don’t even remember what happened in your classes. There will be days where all you can do is stay in bed, and that’s okay. Bad days are destined to happen, there is no way around it. You can ask everyone you know and more than not, they’ll say that they’ve reached rock bottom at one point in their life. Sometimes people forget that bad things are supposed to happen. Yet when bad things happen, it forces us to look at the good in life. Because in life, the things that go wrong are often the very things that lead to other things going
Many people around the world experience many good things throughout their lives. However, people typically tend to focus on the negative influences rather than the positive. The book, No Ordinary Moments, aids a person in thinking positively and improve their overall perception in life. The book contains exercises to practice positive thinking and to help reflect on situations that may arise to increase awareness and reduce overall stressors in a person’s life.
If you want to achieve happiness in life, people should look on the bright side. And you want to look on the bright side because you do not want to spend the rest of your life thinking about that bad thing that happened to you.
These trying times brought out both the best and worst in people. As a result, it can be said that human nature can be affected either negatively or positively in times of major change. During times of great difficulty, most people will often see only the negative things in
I like to keep things in perspective. If I get a bad grade on something, I’m mostly cool with that. Sure, I probably feel that I didn’t perform to my abilities, but I know that I can do better next time. In the overall view of life, one bad grade, or any one bad event doesn’t really mean much. I’ll feel down about that bad grade, or about getting angry at my friend about something. But those things, even though they may seem huge and terrible in the moment, are just tiny little threads in the grand tapestry that is my existence. What seems like the worst thing to ever happen to anyone one day will seem like nothing at all a week or a month later. I might not even remember it. No matter what the tragedy or issue, in the grand scale of things,
Yesterday was my 16 month metaversary nearly the entire time of which I 've been Ned on faslodex and xgeva (added ibrance 6 months ago).
Whether it is an experience in which they face that day, or it is something that they hear, it will always stay with them as the greatest moment in their life. In Looking for Alaska the characters talk about their best and worst days in a drinking game made up by Alaska. To these characters, their best days are with them all and each one has a special meaning to them. For Miles, he takes a brief moment to think about it, then starts saying how his best day was the same day they played the game. He described how everything that he did that day involved being with his new friends from Culver Creek. To Miles, this is clearly his best day because he came to realize that he finally has friends he can rely on and that he is not invisible to classmates, like he felt in Florida. For these characters, the best days have helped them live their lives better and pickup them up when they are down. With every best day in someone’s life comes with a worst day. Worst days will make you sad for a length of time and you will feel hopeless during these stretches of time. People will come to see that worst days will involve the death of a loved one in a family. There were two instances of this for characters in Looking for Alaska. Alaska had a terrible loss of someone very close to her. After her and her mother went to the zoo, Alaska went upstairs to do homework so she could watch TV later at night. She heard her mother scream then fall down on the floor, where she held her head and started jerking around. Alaska freaked out and thought that she should have called 911 but she laid there crying and figured her mother had fallen asleep and waited for her father to come home. Her father came home and started yelling at her and asked why she did not call 911 and tried to give her CPR, but it was too late. This event in Alaska’s life plays major roles in why she does things that she does. Worst days in people's lives are
In my life, if I take a close look at all the things that have taken place, the goods far outweigh the bads. Although there are certainly negative things that have happened to me, these things aren’t necessarily for the worst. The “positive versus negative” attitude at question here is based highly upon opinion and if you are able to have a positive outlook, you can start to the see positive aspects of the negative occurrences. Another important thing to examine is that positive experiences are so much more common than the negatives that they are commonly overlooked and taken for granted. I know that in my life, since the bad things are commonly much more impactful than the good things, people take them much more seriously which makes them stereotype their whole life based on one or maybe two aspects of their situation and the things that took
day with a positive outlook. We try to establish our lives to the point where
