The first skateboard I made was really only a little RC motor on the electric skateboard I already had. I had the idea to make my own electric skateboard when someone passed me riding a bike while i was on my electric skateboard. I wanted to make my own skateboard because I knew I could make it go faster and I just didn't think it was right that someone on a bike could pass an electric skateboard. For the first skateboard I really just nailed things together and hoped it would work. Throughout I was just hoping that I could make it go super fast, but over time I realized that I wouldn't be able to make it go that fast. So, I changed my hopes to making it move at all.
The first time I finished I was very mad because the motor fell off right
Since its conception and development, skateboarding has been a controversial public activity. This negative reputation dates back to the origins of skateboarding and to fully understand the issue we must understand the history of skateboarding. In the 1950’s, many different surfers had the idea to put roller skate wheels on 2x4 wooden planks and “surf” the streets when they couldn't actually surf in the ocean during periods of low tide. This was the public's first impression of what would eventually evolve to become skateboarding; long shaggy haired surfers riding through the streets on planks of wood that could barely turn and would result in frequent injuries. The sport developed through the 1960’s and reached its peak in 1963. During this
Skateboarding has been around since 1944. Initially, created as a crate with wheels and a bar used as a handle bar, the idea was slowly being more refined. Woman’s Army Corps Betty Magnuson, reported seeing French children riding on wooden boards with rollerblade wheels attached to them which would imply that the idea has been played around with but never capitalized upon. From crate boxes with handle bars, to popsicle shaped boards with specialty made wheels backed with a massive culture, skateboarding has become a popular industry.
When I was first introduced to the idea of longboarding, I thought that it was just a different type of fancy skateboard. As an individual who was not very good at skateboarding, I was skeptical of even trying the product out. However, after experiencing it for myself and hearing countless amounts of positive feedback about it, I began to consider getting one of my own.
Skateboarding was probably born sometime in the late 1940s or early 1950s when surfers in California wanted something to surf when the waves were flat. These first skateboarders started with wooden boxes or boards with roller skate wheels attached to the bottom. The boxes turned into planks,
Learning to skateboard was never easy for me. I’ve never been a real balanced or coordinated person so skateboarding was like trying to learn the meaning to the film “Inception”. Even though I was never delighted to hop back on a piece of wood on wheels called a “skateboard” I was determined to learn; time and time again I fell but getting back up is what mattered. Now I’m like a surfer hitting that wave he’s been waiting for his whole life. Now if I’m not on my board I’m on my bike. Skating is now one of the easiest things I do nowadays. I’ve been skating for almost 6 years now and will continue to skate until I simply
I began creating the base of the battering ram. I made holes in the middle of the round pieces of wood and put round thin pieces of wood through the middle of the circular pieces of wood to make the wheels. After the wheels
Today, skateboarding products have begun to appear in "mainstream" sporting goods stores, and skateboarding's brightest stars like Rob Dyrdek, Ryan Sheckler, and Bam Margera have produced popular television shows. Clearly the world is embracing the sport like no other time in the history of skateboarding. Are you ready to pick up a board? Obviously the first thing you will need to begin your skateboarding career is the proper equipment. If you plan to make skateboarding a hobby, you should not search for a bargain board at Wal-Mart or Target.

I went into the massive Rockefeller skate center. I stood at the top of the skate center bridge. I saw the ice shooting of the skates in the shimmering moonlight. I skated for a few minutes , then I got hungry. I questioned my mom if we could eat some food. Then we went to the elevator.
In conclusion, my 1st car was a bust traveling 9.8 cm/s, my 2nd car did pretty well traveling 35.86 cm/s, but wasn’t built very well and lastly my 3rd car was the most successful, traveling 50.16 cm/s. Over the time that I worked on this project my skills really did advance. In the beginning, I was clueless and now, with the materials, I could make another car in a day. I learned a lot from trial and error.
Put your back foot flat on the tail of your skateboard and put the ball of your front foot right behind
Friction is also important because it’s what the skateboarder must use to control the board’s rotation when generating a second torque to spin the board. Lastly, an understanding of inertia is necessary to understand how the trick comes to completion.
Around the time of the 1940’s was when the first ever skateboard was made. In the early 1940’s and 1950’s many surfers in California wanted something to do when the waves were flat which mean, they weren’t able to surf. The people who supposedly came up with the idea were a few surfers who wanted to be able to do something similar as they did in the water. Skateboarding history still has a mysterious origin. No one to this day knows who actually invented the skate board. Several people have claimed to have made the skateboard but nothing has been proven. In 1965 skate boarding’s popularity began to reach its’s top.
When I was a kid, I was one of the many kids who were fascinated by cars and planes; but unlike my peers, I have always had the desire to design those machines myself. I started creating technical drawings for machines when I was six. Many afternoons after school, while my peers were
The skateboards been around for a long time but wouldn't you want to know how it was first made? Or what it originally looked like, or even why it was made? It all started in Santa Monica, California where surfing was rad and thrashing was bad! People loved to skateboard as much as they did surfing. Skateboarding was just a new way, on land! People loved to do manuals, 180s, 360s and shred the nar in empty pools!
