A.) Explain why it is important to promote appropriate behaviour and respect for others (ref. 2.2) It is important to promote appropriate behaviuor and respect for others in the class to create a safe and comfortable learning environment in which learners feel at ease to express their opinion, participate in classroom discussions and activities and ask questions allowing learners to complete their work to the best of their ability and ultimately achieve their goals. Each learner may have different religious or cultural backgrounds and even different learning needs. Therefore it is important to create a learning atmosphere that promotes the appropriate behavior and respect for others. A good way of achieving this positive learning environment
Everyone wants to be respected. It’s in our nature, but in order to obtain respect, first of all one has to respect oneself. Second, one has to show respect to others in order to gain respect from them. If one doesn’t show respect to someone, that person may often feel blown off and lose respect for you. Respect in my eyes is like a math equation loyalty plus duty equals respect. respect is gained in conducting ones self in a way that others can stand
Respect is an important element in effective communication, and the development of a relationship. Actively listening to another person’s point of view or opinion, remembering personal details, showing an interest and responding in an appropriate manner, all show that you have listened and placed importance upon what has been said, which leads to positive relationships and respectful, effective communication.
* Respect. Respect each individual with the same respect as you would like to be respected.
Strengths of being respectful children never know when you’ll meet again. Treating someone with utmost respect now will leave a memorable impression on them. Children never know when that person will be in a position where you need their help in the future. A bit shallow, yet very realistic way of looking at respect.
* Explain how to establish ground rules with learners to promote respect for others. 3.3.2
Elijah emphasizes that respect in the inner-city is tremendously valuable. Even in today’s world, respect is something that you are expected to receive if you are giving it to someone. In the inner-city you must present yourself in a way that shows that you are someone not to be messed with and that you are capable of defending yourself. Elijah stresses that in order for a person to campaign for respect, they must raise themselves up by putting others down. Most of the time parents in these cities influence their children to believe that they must be respected because they tell them that they did not raise them to be punks. Decent and street kids have to campaign for respect so no one would mess with them. However, it is difficult for the decent kids to do so because these kids are known to have a nice attitude and it is difficult for them to be someone that they are not. For example, the idea of putting others down to feel better about yourself is something that occurs in gangs. Gangs often try to campaign for their own respect by bringing people down from other gangs in which most cases involve violence and or killing them. This shows that no one should mess with them because if they do, they will most likely
“Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone”-Malcolm X according to the quote you should treat everyone with respect and in the story “sweat” the author characterizes one of the main characters in the story as unrespectful and Sykes one main character could benefit from being respectful to everyone. The author of the story is Zora Neale Hurston and the story is about a hard working woman who has a husband who beats her and uses her and at the end, he is taught a lesson that you should treat people with respect because what you do to another's could be done to you.
In society today it is common for someone to be respectful to their elders or told to do so, but when we are respectful to our peers and those younger or “below” us it shows great character. People want to be respected and seen as grown up, and the best way to do that is to be respectful to others. The best way to earn respect is to give respect. People always say that we reap what we sow and respect is a great example of this. When we are respectful to other they will, in turn, be respectful to us. Someone with strong character is respectful and grateful to others. Benjamin Franklin is a great example of a person with strong
What is respect? Is the way people should be treated, how you would want to be treated, and should it come naturally or should it be taught? Respect is what are world is built on, I feel that the phrases like “reap what you sow” explain what respect works like. For example to when I am rude to someone they tend to be rude back, the same works with respect. When being disrespectful to someone you most likely will disrespect you right back. Not everyone follows these thoughts of respect. Actions like these can lead to dangerous places, people begin to break boundaries that were once built on respect.

Students may exhibit disrespectful behaviors for several reasons. One of these reasons being that they lack an understanding of respect and have limited experiences with receiving or showing respect (Borba, 2017). It is important to consider a student’s background when they display disrespectful behaviors (McNeely, 2017). If students have not seen respect modeled frequently in their lives, it is understandable that may not understand this behavior (Borba, 2017).
This means to respect others as you would want them to respect you. If you ask someone for help and they concur, do not steal the credit for their work. On the other hand, if what they helped you with is unintentionally wrong, do not blame them or yell at them, as they were only trying to help you out. Never cut someone else down in front of others, yell at them or point out their bad qualities.
When a child is growing up, the first thing he is taught is to respect his parents, teachers, and elders. He is being taught about moral principles, in other words, ethics. Although, respect doesn’t reach only the three-said people. Respect is unlimited, and it extends to every single person you meet, in school or work place, or even outside. It could be extended from a president to a homeless person. When a person respects the other, whether he/she is lower or higher in level than the person, it proves that this person has good morals. For example, imagine a scenario where a salesman is dealing with an elderly woman who does not understand or hear well, and the salesman has been forced to repeat his words louder so that the poor old woman could hear the salesman. He becomes agitated and frustrated, so he decided to yell at her and leave her in the middle of the store. This is an unethical behavior of him, what would be called ethical is either, had he been patient and respected the woman, or he had politely excused himself to call another salesperson to handle the
Respect – The process of influencing goes beyond the use of rank, hierarchy or authority as the primary source of motivation to achieve the outcomes. The leader has to exhibit the correct values, act in a way and adopt a style that is consistent with his values.
