It's funny. My mom will ask me what's gonna happen in the next episode and what's gonna happen between this character and that character, and I don't tell her anything. She's like, "What's the perk of being your mom if I can't find out what's gonna happen in the next episode?" And I say, "Mom, I want you to be surprised." And she's like, "I don't want to be surprised!"
So without spoiling anything, you get a little taste of what's to come just from the little bit that Hallmark has already released. They've teased the idea that Elizabeth's job is at stake. And getting to show this stronger side of Elizabeth as she fights to do the thing she's really meant to do and is called to do.... that was a really powerful storyline to get to play. Lots
Lady Brett Ashley is heartbroken as her true love was killed in World War I. She is also promiscuous and parties non stop. She has short hair like a man and is still attractive to all the men in the book and many of them fall in love with her. Her looks and Jakes feeling towards her are shown in the quote “Brett was damned good-looking. She wore a slipover jersey sweater and a tweed skirt, and her hair was brushed back like a boy’s.” Brett also does not seem to have any female friends and seems to only enjoy being around men. She is in love with Jake, the count and Mike Campbell all at once and they seem to not care about her sleeping around with other men. Lady Brett Ashley is also very unhappy throughout the story. “Oh, darling, I’ve been

Abigail Williams is the Devil figure in the crucible for many reasons that are clear to see. She is very smart in the decisions she makes throughout the novel making sure that what she says so won’t come back to make her seem like she is lying. Abigail started off in the novel as an intelligent, dependent, and strong character. If she wanted to have everyone attention she made sure she had it even if it was in the craziest ways. She was able to lie her way through a lot of things but soon it was going to catch up with her. In the crucible by Arthur Miller he uses Abigail as the Devil figure sending the message that lying to get what is wanted will not always turn out as planned.
Timidity plays a big part in the first portion of the novel. Clara Lemlich seems to be nothing more than a timid young girl working in her family's shop, but she proves to be more than what meets the eye. Clara is full of aspiration and yearns for an education, but she learns to keep these hopes and dreams to herself due to her severely stern parents. On page 14, Clara expresses herself by saying “How can I tell Mama who toils sunup to sundown to be a good mother a good wife that this life (her life) is not enough for me, that I dream instead of words ideas a life that stretches far beyond the bounds of this shtetl?” Clara seems to be torn between disappointing her beloved parents, and showing them who she really is, but most importantly
In this quote, Rex teaches Jeannette how to swim by repeatedly throwing her into the pool and only rescuing her to just throw her back in again. This is big insight on how Rex and Rose Mary parent their children. They present them with challenges that they need to overcome in order to succeed.

As a motherless child, Ophelia was rather unruly and boorish. She played rough with the boys and read books, rather than sewing as normal women did. Due to her disorderly conduct, she was sent to live in Elsinore, which is proven through the quote, “Someone must have spoken to my father about my unruly ways” (Klein 24). We posted the picture of Elsinore with the caption “Since my dad thinks I’m such a disgrace to the family, I have to move here.” to portray her move to the castle. Also, Gertrude’s opinion towards Ophelia is shown through the quote, “She is sweet of countenance, a most fair child, and a lively one, I daresay” (Klein 25), which is why the caption includes “At least I think Gertrude likes me.” She will be taught courtly behavior
