This is important to consider because more doctors want to pursue specialties and that creates a shortage in family practices. These shortages in front line care can then raise the cost of receiving basic care services patients receive and using a simple supply versus demand equation cost for health care increases. After reviewing all of these costs it is easy to explain why the cost of health care is rising in the US. Physicians make up one of the most important pieces of the entire health care sector of the economy. This type of collusion is not appropriate in this profession, however the pressure to earn a high level of income can blur the line for some physicians. When it comes to physician’s providing care for others the best biblical reference comes from Heberws 13:16 (ESV) which states do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Physicians are given the power to help heal their patients and with that responsibility comes high expectation from society to act responsibly and not overcharge for their services.
Hospitals
There are several factors that contribute to the financing of hospitals. One of those expenses is the cost of running a hospital. The cost of hiring and maintaining a professional staff at the hospital is increasing by the day. This is due to physicians, nurses, etc. are furthering their career, which means costing them more money to put towards their, education, in return once they can practice in their field they expect to be compensated with a high paying salary.
