The first step is to get some glue. Then rub some glue over the horn and the spot where the horn is going to be to be attached. Then the horn is jammed on. Voila you have a reconnected horn. Then the dinosaur comes back to life and runs around bringing other dinosaurs back to life. I would be a ninja. I would be a ninja because I could do a bunch of awesome things like running up walls, appearing, and throwing ninja stars. If I were a pirate the army would shoot up my ship and sink it. Then I would be a prisoner for my whole life. The person fell asleep in 1997. They woke up yesterday. I begin to tell them all about what happened. First I tell them that the twin towers were destroyed by terrorists. I also tell them about isis. I also …show more content…
I think that there is a possibility that it could be bad. The dinosaur could be carrying a virus or disease that might have killed out the dinosaurs. I would have the power of flight. I would have the power of flight so I could go sky diving whenever I want. I could just fly up and fall. That is why I would have the power of flight. I would also have the power of flight so that I could rescue people from buildings. I could just fly in rescue them, and just be a hero. That is the reason that I would have the power to fly. Therefore I would choose the ability to fly. I feel like my tree has abandoned me. My tree raised me and now it's dropping me. I’m going to die and my tree doesn't care. I was there my whole life feeding it and giving it energy. Now it’s killing me. I should have been a pine needle, then at least I would have died of old age. That is how I feel about fall. Make a list so you can concentrate on something. Make a list of places you want to go to. Making a list of where you want to go can help you decide where you want to go. You can look at the pros and cons of all the places and decide which is the best. By making a list it can help you think. This year writing will be a major focus, it’s important to understand grammar rules without them you’re writing is difficult to understand. Once a week we’ll begin class with one of these M.U.G sentences, M.U.G. by the way is an
Writing has many tools and devices that can be used to influence the purpose and meaning of the a piece of work. In the two pieces of work, "Private License Plate Scanners Amassing Vast Databases Open to Highest Bidders-which is written in a way that it is anti-license plate tracking- and "Who Has the Right to Track You?'-which is written to be for license plate tracking- many different tools and devices are used by the authors. These pieces of work describe the benefits and drawbacks of collecting data and tracking fellow citizens, but use different forms of pathos, ethos, and logos to portray what they are trying to say. Also, both articles state how many are opposed to this tracking, arguing that it is against the First Amendment,
If I were a leaf and fall started I would watch the other leaves of
I would hold the lives of billions in my hands, and I could crush those lives with the slightest twitch. That sheer power is so distant, it is almost unimaginable. For to have all the knowledge of the world would mean to be like God, would it not? I could be benign, or I could be cruel, and absolutely nothing could stand in my way. That absolute freedom of will is what attracts me, what drives me to choose this ability. I could be anyone, do anything.
If I could have anything, I would want superspeed. I would be able to help people from danger, which is something I would love to do. I would also love to have superspeed because, I would be the fastest person alive and outrun anything or anyone that that is harmful to this world and our lives. Having superspeed is like being able to fly, or teleport. I could be a hero and people could come to me for help instead of the other way around.
Initially, the NIA was implicitly imagined as a integrative institution, reminiscent of the American phrase “there is no black and white, only army green.” Individuals recruited would be sorted into divisions after basic training, regardless of ethnicity. The NIA was to think along national, not ethnic or sectarian lines; it was to be a microcosm of a vision of an egalitarian Iraq. In the tradition of civil-military sociologist Janowitz, the NIA was to be the national institution that would treat members uniformly in a new nation because soldiers are given “a new identity to supersede the old.” In truth, the NIA was initially conceived of as a nation-building exercise. Because the military embodies the elements of cohesion and and unity,
I agree with Reid, revamping America’s health care system would be far too complicated. I liked how Reid connected the ideas of a health care reform to many of the presidents of the past including Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Ironically enough, Clinton’s reform didn’t even make it to congress and he was also impeached during his presidency. Is that a coincidence? I do support Obama’s ideas toward building on to the model of health care that we already have, instead of constructing a new one. While Obama’s thoughts were compiled into the Obama Care bill, Reid made it clear that people in America are still uninsured. To me, Obama started what could have been a really good option for health care within the U.S., however, that is now
I rose to the position of Co-Editor-in-Chief of my school’s publication, The Mark, with a clear mandate to transform the magazine’s entire approach to storytelling. With nearly 2,400 students at my public high school, individual voices are obscured, hidden under the opinion of a few who do not represent the diversity. Passionate about capturing student sentiment, I take the initiative to shape the magazine into a physical manifestation of rich identity and distinct opinions. I dedicate myself to leaning into the beautifully varied individuals to build bridges across social groups and attempt to elevate trust within my community, defending differences even when they do not coincide with my own beliefs. I am loud about preserving people’s
Education level is not the only factor that has a significant role in black infant mortality, but so does the environment these African American women live in. The environment someone lives in, whether it be emotional or physical plays a major role on the person’s behavior and habits. One of the main things that a research has found is that childhood lead poisoning can lead to many later poor health effects or complications during pregnancy. Lead is usually found in older homes in many cities. Even though there are rules and regulations about a home with lead, many landowners usually just end up paying a fine that goes with having lead in their house, rather than fixing the problem and not have lead, since it will be more cost effective
Ever since the “United Socialist Party of Venezuela” took control of the country’s affairs in 1999, the economic situation has worsened with the passage of time. Throughout the years, careless and corrupt government officials have enacted policies that focus on benefitting high-ranked party members and their families, making the majority of citizens suffer under terrible circumstances. Among these circumstances we can find the long queues that people have to go through to access basic goods because of the critical shortages of products. This situation leads me to an unforgettable anecdote that I have kept in my memory for a long time. I remember that one day when I was 14 years old, my brother Leonardo picked me up from school at 1 p.m. As
Ten o’clock a.m. and car horns are constantly honking in the bumper to bumper traffic. The aroma of street cart food beginning to be made wafts through the nostrils of passers-by. The subtle yet cool March breeze that prompts one to wear a light sweater blows in this beginning of the day. This is a typical morning in the District of Columbia, yet today couldn’t be any more atypical. Cracking windows, peeling paint, broken shutters, graffiti-filled walls, and fallen gutters, and just an overall atrocious appearance, but these were the reasons this hotel had been chosen-nobody would suspect what was going on inside.
“And the final whistle blows. Paris Saint-Germain thrashes Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final 4-1,” the commentator said. As I trudged to the locker room my mind raced in disbelief. We really lost to the underdog team 4-1. As the main striker, I failed to do my job which was to score. I really believed our Champions League campaign was over after one leg. Without the Champions League, we would finish the season without a trophy as Barcelona have already secured the Spanish League and the Domestic Cup. As a team, our focus is to bounce back and it will take a lot of work and we need the right mentality to over come this outrageous deficit at home in Madrid.
I am seeking to obtain a Masters in Business Analytics from California State University, East bay. My purpose to join this program has grown over the time. Since my school days, my favorite subjects were Mathematics and Science, which laid the foundation for my inclination towards engineering. I qualified various entrance examinations (including CEE with State Rank 111) and was placed in 0.1% of engineering aspirants. This helped me getting admission to Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, which is one of the most prestigious institutions in India. My affinity towards programming languages, which I started studying at high school and the field of Computer Science, motivated me to take Computer Engineering as my major in undergraduate
The meaning-focused input (MFI), as suggested by Nation and Newton (2009), is one of the four strands that are required for a well balanced language course. According to Nation (2009), learning vocabulary through reading is one of the activities that promote this strand. Some results of the present studies provided some evidence for the MFI strand. The findings suggested that, the degree of effectiveness of intensive reading activities, in which learners infer the meaning of new words from context, in facilitating L2 vocabulary learning may depend on different factors such as reading strategies, knowledge sources, contextual clues and number of encounters of target words. While contextual clues significantly contributed to knowledge of
