Essay: Why I Believe In America

I came to America from Pakistan two years ago. I am currently attending Broward College to get my associate degree. One of my most important goals is to get a master’s degree in aerospace engineering and become an engineer. To achieve this goal, I am very passionate. I have worked very hard to maintain good grades. I have joined clubs and faced many difficulties to be where I am. I am passionate about math and physics and due to that reason I want to attend a prestigious school for sciences and become an engineer. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to get the education; therefore, I am working hard to get scholarships.

The America i believe in is unlike any other country that I heard of. I'm not really sure where to start because there are many reasons why I believe in it. I guess that I can start with freedom. Toe have many freedoms here that you get to do whatever you want, but obviously it's not like starting a rampage at a public and getting away with it. You still have to keep peace and not going around terrorizing people. I believe in this type of freedom because you don't have a strict dress code, walking around in public. Girls don't even have to wear dresses, which is awesome because some girls don't like wearing those. I also believe that we have the right to own guns and walk around on your property with them. Many of countries do not have any freedom at all. In some countries if you say something the leader does not agree with you could be executed or thrown in jail. In America, we have freedom of speech and can say whatever is on our mind without being prosecuted. We must keep fighting for our rights every single day or someone could come in and take it all away.

I also think that America is a good country because it is a free country.Many places are not free country.We are not forced into any religion like other places.Where if you go to a country where you are forced into a religion , and you are not that religion they can kill you or put you in prison.The United States of America Is one of few countries that have all of these freedoms.Most places you go to you can't have guns.For example in australia it is illegal to own a gun.But in America you can own a gun.

The America I Believe in, is one that stands proud in the fire. One that stands strong and brave in the rain. I believe in an America that comes together in the darkest of times, one that stays unbroken and strong in the hardest of days. A place where you are safe, and can chase your dreams, speak your mind, and live life to the fullest. A place that our troops protect so dearly.

I am an American and the America I believe in has given me rights; including freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

America to me is like a big project with no end. Most people in America take their freedom for granted. With our country’s many trials like slavery, civil war and women’s rights movement our country has been able to understand the circumstances and go through it all. This project has been colored and almost finished, yet some remain there not done. Our soldiers are courageous men and women who have made this place what it is. I hope one day all the world has the right to call their country free like America.

America is a country that has freedom from head to toe. We give people rights that no other country does, like freedom of speech and religion. We can go where we want when we want. People can choose what school and church they go to. We don't get punished for saying something bad. One of the things we get to do is voting for our government. A person can choose if they want to serve and the people I know that have served have been humbled. They notice our freedom. They see how we help other countries.The things we get to do are so valuable. The alliances we have around the world are so amazing. People protect us and we protect them. I think we should thank the people who have protected us. The veterans, the people who have died for our country,

Brazilian athlete Rafael Cruz once said, “ Only in America can someone start with nothing and achieve the American Dream. That's the greatness of this country. ” The land of the free and the home of the brave, the United States of America is a country to be reckoned with. We are a strong, unified community that will stand tall and make sure that everyone is treated with respect and dignity. This, my friends, is the America I believe in.

Today, athletes are kneeling while the national anthem is being played, the reasoning for this is they are protesting against police brutality and social injustice. The protest started when Colin Kaepernick first kneeled during the playing of the national anthem at a football game last year. Since then the nation has been debating whether this is disrespectful to the country or not. Colin Kaepernick never meant to disrespect America; in fact, he said “I love America. I love people. That’s why I’m doing this. I want to help make America better. I think having these conversations helps everybody have a better understanding of where everybody is coming from.” (Kaepernick). Many people will disagree with Kaepernick including soldiers, but a few

One gift America has given us is an opportunity, with our government we have more freedom than any country. We can leave and return as we please, we can follow whatever religion we want, we can have a say in our government. I think that some people don’t realize how much freedom we have compared to other countries.

Our great country let's us all have freedom we want with laws of course . not all country get to have the freedom we have. The good thing about having freedom is we can prays any religion we want. In some countries girls can't go too school as well as they have to cover their hair and are not allowed to marry who they want their parents pick for them. We all need a little freedom once in awhile. We should all be able to pick who we want to be and don't want to be with.

What I really like about America is Freedom I always wanted a freedom in my life because in My country not everything is really free like girls can’t work and not all girls go to school. If we say specific womans doesn't have a lot of freedoms. When I was living in afghanistan and going to school girl’s couldn't come without cover our body and hair I couldn’t go outside to play or see my friends.

America is a country filled with dreams and opportunities, I believe in an America where there are equal rights, no terrorism and everyone is educated. Sometimes us as humans take the freedom and our privileges America provides as granted. Men and women fight everyday so we can take it for granted.

Believing is diving head first into something one is confident about. Showing your belief based on the actions you make. Undergoing additional fate. When is comes to the America I believe in, I posses those qualities.
