In the 20th century, there was a scientist named Alfred Wegener, who came up with a theory that all the continents were one single continent, mostly known as the Continental drift. There was plenty of evidence to prove that this actually happened. Look at the eastern coastline of South America and the western coastline of Africa. Does it look like it fits kind of like a jigsaw puzzle? If so, they might've been connected tougher at some point. Even the fossils found there are evidence of this happening. If you look the image here, you see that the fossils line up toge- ther. None of them were good swimmers so they couldn’t swam thousands of miles. Another piece of evidence would be the mountain ranges in North America and Europe (as shown here)
2. The theory of “Pangaea” exists suggesting that the continents were once nestled together into one mega-continent. The continents then spread out as drifting islands.
About 200 million years ago there was one big continent called Pangaea. They believed that, this landmass began to separate. They believed that the Atlantic Ocean formed, dividing Africa and Eurasia from the Americas. Over the next several million years plants and animals changed and made to separate biological worlds. It wasn’t until Christopher Columbus and his crew sailed to the Americas in October 1492, they started interacting with each other.
Who proposed that all of the present continents were once joined together in a single supercontinent called Pangaea?
The theory of Pangaea suggests that the continents were once stuck together into one huge continent. Eventually they started drifting into separated landmasses, which gave birth to the modern continents.
Back about 21,00 years ago there was one big continent called Pangia. Then plates started moving, the ice age happened, Land bridge formed then disapered.
Was pangea real or is it all a mystery, nobody knows if pangea is real because it still remains a mystery I think, let's find out.long long ago the earth wasn't seven continents it was just one big landmass surrounded by a ocean called panthalassa. Alfred winger was the person that found out about Pangea. He figured out that Africa and South America fit together. And also from my own experience I was watching The History Channel then there were two of the same dinosaurs in Africa and South America at the same tip of each continent that's why they know that Pangea is real because dinosaurs cannot swim across a whole ocean .
This assignment shall be identifying the evidence underpinning the skills and professional approach required in patient care. Hand hygiene is seen as a form of action that is done by using your hands to prevent the spread of harmful germs and infections, this action is performed by both healthcare workers (HCWs) and patients before assisting with personal care involving touching. There are many different types of hand hygiene actions taken in the UK, these include Surgical Antisepsis, wearing gloves, washing your hands with a soap or alcohol-based formulation hand wash. It is important to always remain protected when touching a patient, their surroundings or body fluid.
Evidence that Africa and South America were still attached is, in the reading it states that Africa was connected by a bridge. Also connected
The migration from Asia would have started along Beringia. Beringia is the dry grassland that was about 750 miles wide from north to south.
World war II was one of the most significant period of the 20th century. The war was fought from 1939 to 1945 in Europe, and during 1930s to 1940s in Asia. The war in Europe began with the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany and ended with the official surrender of Japan, the last axis nation. It was the largest armed conflict in history, involving the entire world’s countries more than the other war. Not only that, WWII introducing powerful new weapons, culminating in the first use of new clear weapons. Even though the name was “World War” not every country in the world were involved. The war killed more civilians than previous wars and it also served as a backdrop for genocidal killing by Nazi as well as some other mass
After looking at a globe it might seem that the continents look like they fit together perfectly : The east coast of South America and the Caribbean sea look like they fit into the coastline of west Africa. Also the same seems
All the continents were once joined together. They loved each other and were the best of friends. Everything was shared between them, and they couldn't imagine how they would survive without each other.
The article uses multiple non-historical evidence to draw conclusions about the migrations of humans. The article states, “Reddish brown stone…Today the stone offer no clue about its original purpose”. This evidence helps conclude that early humans made use of their resource and have knowledge in carving the stone. The early humans were able to commutate with symbols, this says that humans had more brainpower to write and comprehend the symbols. DNA found in the mitochondria help prove that all humans have some relation to this women called “Eve”. This piece of evidence can conclude that all humans come from the same person meaning the same location. Using
Millions of years ago, continental drift carried the Old World and New Worlds apart, splitting North and South America from Eurasia and Africa. That separation lasted so long that it fostered divergent evolution; for instance, the development of rattlesnakes on one side of the Atlantic and vipers on the other.
