“I’m not saying I’m gonna change the world, but I guarantee I will spark the brain that will change the world’’ - Tupac Amaru Shakur. Accepting your peers for who they are is very uncommon in my school. This is because being in a school is very diverse but not more than the world or the country we live in.People have many things different about them like their personality, sexual orientation, body physique, skin tone, intelligence, talents, age, hair texture, hair length etc. There are alot of things you can be judged or hated for. Having the interest or motive to bring respect, equality and unity in someone’s heart or being able to change them is very powerful if it took one person to accomplish that. Now imagine doing that to an entire country the the world. …show more content…
Just the thought of being respected for who you are as a person and what you do to contribute to society doesn’t mean a thing to some people. People can be so ignorant to the point where no one is around them because they treat others bad. Respecting women and their body is a topic that is talked a lot about by feminists and people against stuff like downgrading, body shaming, and offending women and even men. Not being respected can cause a lot of things to happen especially if someone is disabled, apart of the L.G.B.T. community, even for someone's physical feature. My family constantly disrespect my cousin for having a little body weight making her feel insecure about herself and she’s barely respected by her peers. Most people don’t have a good boost of confidence because they are constantly put down by their family and other things relating to bring someone
On his way to Selma, Alabama on March 3, 2017, for the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, Reverend Jesse Jackson delivered a message to the students at Montevallo High.
Media and NY Times attributed the ringleader and creation of this phantom hate group to Malcolm X. Formally Malcolm X stated, “I considered all Negroes my ‘Blood Brothers,’ and that Negroes are banning together!” He said in one of his speeches, “That Harlem is living in a police state?” and was asked, {“Mr. Malcolm you have suggested that they are all kinds of movements in Harlem growing that you and I don’t know about?”} Malcolm replied “Oh yes, frustration itself was sufficient and all that was necessary to make Negros realize the importance of banning together-and Negros are banning together.”{“Banning together in what kind of movement?”} (Malcolm continuing) “Different kinds of movements-all kinds of movements, and they remain almost invisible they remain almost unknown-but yet they are there.” “When I say invisible I mean invisible in the since that their existence are unknown.” “And no matter how much you try to track them down-you can’t find them. And never try to find them through the Negro leaders.” “The Negro leaders are famous as an apologist.” “As you recall one of the most famous Negro leaders in 1959 was asked by you about the Black Muslim movement, and he said he knew nothing about it, and the next moment you flashed a picture on the screen with him shaking hands with me (Referring to Roy Wilkins).”-“So this is their

He was son to Earl Little, a Baptist minister and avid supporter of Black nationalism. Earl’s civil rights activism led to death threats from the Black Legion, a White supremacist organization similar to the Klu Klux Klan. After this, Little was forced to relocate twice for the safety of his family. Regardless of Little’s efforts to elude the Legion, in 1929 their Michigan home in Lansing, was burnt to the ground by another White supremacist group. Around two years later Earl’s mutilated body was found lying across the town’s trolley tracks. Police ruled the incident as suicide despite the fact that he was most probably murdered by the Black Legion. This, therefore invalidated his life insurance and made the Little family significantly poorer than before. Several years after the death of her husband, Louise had an emotional breakdown and was sent to a mental institution, leaving her children behind. All ten children were split up amongst several foster homes and orphanages.
Malcolm X, a former African – American Muslim minister once said, “The media is the most powerful entity on Earth.” In the thriving world of technology, this quote holds the same value since the invention of mass media. In an age where life revolves around technology, people believe that it is this media (especially Social Media), which is serving as the basis of discrimination as well as the destruction of humanity. Had this been the case, would it be justified to oppose the words of Malcolm X? Wouldn’t it be plausible to blame media for every unfortunate incident that occurs in the world? Whether it is the loss of a famous football team in a match, a terrorist attack or even the death of an actor/actress, it is the media who is held responsible

Despair and fear can make humans act like animals, causing them to completely ignore the consequences of their actions. Rapper Tupac once mentioned in an interview that resembles the actions of the citizens of France during the French revolution. He stated that if a group of hungry people waited outside of a hotel knowing that inside there was enough food to go around amongst everyone, the people would first chant peacefully “we are hungry please let us in” After a week the tone would change as well as the song now being “we hungry, we need some food!”. After time has passed and the people are still left outside hungry the people will now say “I’m picking the lock coming through the door blasting.” Humans often ask for change and help nicely
The outcomes of students being rejected can result them to having low self-esteem issues. “Self-censorship, in short, is not a crime or a moral failing; it is a responsibility.”(Fish page. 497) Although students have the right to say and decline others from their groups, it is also their responsibility to know the consequences for their saying and actions. Moreover, rejection from a group not only presents discrimination among students, but also creates barriers between them. “Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.”(King. Pg. 7) Students should not be judged based on their differences, but be accepted as who they are. This sort of ignorance establishes competition between each social group and makes students seem more dominant from the rest. This type of negative atmosphere should be prevented and instead students should demonstrate genuine acceptance towards one another.

Faith and love are integral parts of the King community and Christianity in general. Social justice is a product sparked by the combustion of these two elements. Sitting in my Zimbabwean primary school, I learned about the history of South Africa and apartheid; these laws left South Africa covered with dark clouds. However, a light shines its brightest in darkness, so as my teacher revealed the extraordinary life of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, I felt inspired and saw the good in the world.
You come to school to learn and not for a fashion show. If this is who you are, stay that way and don’t let other people put you under stress or try to change you. Everyone is perfect just the way they are.” These words stayed with me. It helped me get through my days and having real friends who actually cared about you and helped you through harsh times. Now for the first time in my life, I feel like I’ve made real friends, friends who actually cared, friends who I can be myself around and not have them judge

In the years of growing up in high school I have learned a lot from just hanging and talking to a variety of people. I have learned that many people view people differently than the way I see them. In many cases growing up I saw the way people would pick on kids because of their size, hair color, what they wore, and more. I have seen so many kids growing up facing the struggle of being excluded from: sports, birthday parties, friend groups, and more. The last few years I saw bullying at its worse and realize that there are a lot of people that just sit by and let it happen but not take action and try to stop it.
This generation is cruel and evil , everyone looks down on each other instead of bring each other up and being friendly to one another. Havin a “perfect body” for womens is a huge example of this world being cruel and evil. Women are often bullied for not having a “perfect body” . Nowadays if your not a size 0 , you are to big. “Body hatred and women verbally bullying one another are tied together. Culture stigmatizes women who do not meet raditional standards of beauty and , too often, women use this unforgiving reality to harshly judge one another as a mean gain leverage and power “ ( When women). This illustrates how women bully one another with body hatred. Women like to have power over each other so by saying rude harsh words about body weight they feel as if they have power over one another . Talking down on someone isn’t power it’s cruel and evil. Women have to realize that word can hurt ;however, women need to bring one another up and compliment their weight not
