Extremist Equating a VICTIM of Hitler’s Nazism – to Hitler Himself!!
on modified pic of BERNIE!!!
As in ‘1984,’ – Americans are ignorant about terms like Socialist, Fascist and Communist etc. Sanders told CNN’s Anderson Cooper, “Look, my father’s family was wiped out by Hitler in the Holocaust. I know about what crazy and radical and extremist politics mean.” Hitler KILLED Sanders’ family … and they equate this immigrant VICTIM of poverty, Nazism, discrimination – to HITLER!?
Democrat Socialism is exact opposites of Fascist or Communist! Orwell himself was such! The definition of “New-Speak”; “writing or saying one thing in the guise of its opposite, especially in order to serve a political or ideological cause while pretending to be
“Was German ‘Eliminationist Anti-Semitism” Responsible for the Holocaust?” is a fascinating and somewhat discouraging debate that explores the question of whether German anti-Semitism, instilled within citizens outside of the Nazi Party, played a vast role in the extermination of Jews during the Holocaust . Daniel Jonah Goldhagen, author of “The Paradigm Challenged,” believes that it did; and argues quite convincingly that ordinary German citizens were duplicitous either by their actions or inactions due to the deep-seeded nature of anti-Semitic sentiment in the country. On the other hand, Christopher R. Browning, who has extensively researched the Holocaust, argues that the arguments of Goldhagen leaves out significant dynamics which were prevalent throughout most of Western and Eastern Europe during this period of history.
To Kill a Mocking, the Rise of Hitler, Jewish people and African Americans are all very similar. The main problem is the way Jewish people and African Americans were treated. They were both treated as lower class citizens, it wasn't fair at all.
With the start of World War II, George Orwell began his fight against Nazism, fascism, and communism. In the eyes of many, communism became interchangeable with socialism, and he criticized writers of his time that were in support of Stalin and his “socialist” movement: “Why should writers be attracted by a form of Socialism that makes mental honesty impossible” (qtd. in Lewis 76)? In an attempt to pacify the radical communist movements and change imperialism, he spoke of a third method to reform the British Empire—a middle ground that would create a socialist community in Britain. John Newsinger wrote, “[He had a] call for a new socialist movement that would reject both Communist-style revolution and Labour Party reformism in favour of a third way to socialism, a third way that he continued to call revolutionary but that was adapted to modern conditions” (qtd. in Chen). Through this, one can see that Orwell wanted to avoid such movements as communism, which attempted to obtain control over the individual, and yet he had a need to preserve the
Hitler believed that propaganda from the allies was the main reason that the Germans lost during World War I and felt that this form of warfare needed to be a primary tool in modern warfare. He spoke of this belief in his book Mein Kampf well before the start of the second World War. Hitler felt that the public needed to be inundated with the ideology of the state at all times and through all mediums (Jowett and O'Donnell 2). "To do this," he said "everything from child's story-book to the last newspaper, every theater, every cinema and every advertisement must be brought into the service of this single mission" (qt. in Qualter ix). This onslaught of propaganda led to the Holocaust by leaving no other option open to the German people
History tried to repeat itself. The late Adolf Hitler a tyrant, fascist and regime is being compared to Donald trump, a Republican candidate for President of the United State of America. He is currently leading the polls in the Republican party. It’s ignorant of history and offensive to those who lost their families in the Holocaust.
Compare and contrast Hitler's race theory with the realities of the Holocaust. How did expansion contribute to these theories?
Beginning in 1920 in the form of propaganda on the side of typical consumer items and lasting all the way until mid-1945, Nazi anti-Semitism had been a prominent characteristic of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Workers’ Party). Nazi anti-Semitism has often been considered an anomaly from the anti-Semitism that Europe had traditionally practiced, because of its deliberate execution of the Jewish Question and the horrific cruelty that took place during the Holocaust. It is no question that Nazi anti-Semitism was remembered for its unmatched hatred of the Jews; however, the influence from European anti-Semitism in the medieval times was heavy. The Nazis’ adoption of the “Jew badge”
“Doublespeak” can be seen frequently in the world of 1984. The party’s big slogan “WAR IS PEACE. FREEDOM IS SLAVERY. IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.” (George Orwell, 4) is an good example. The idea of the slogan is to convince the citizens that what they want, is what they already have. Only war can make peace and harmony, so peace is no longer peace, it becomes war; anyone who is slaved and wants freedom, he already has freedom; you can only strengthen yourself by not knowing things and being ignorant. The slogan changes truth and make the citizens believe that anything they want other than what their government wants can only make them unhappy, therefore, no one will consider rebellion because they believe the Party’s way of governing is the best and only way. “BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU” (George Orwell, 3) is
“Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Communist party (Barnes)?” This question was asked by Republican senator Joseph McCarthy to hundreds of people that he proclaimed were Communists during the late 1940s and early 1950s. McCarthy’s words were ones of fear that the American public gravitated toward to show their hatred for communism. Although this anti-communist effort was only most evident in the mid-20th century, the McCarthy strategy of creating baseless claims against people continues to happen in today's society. The media has covered and created false stories that the American public thrives on. Many people see these stories as factual instead of falsehoods. The American population has also become McCarthy-esque
There was a time in American politics when the term “socialism” conjured up images of the Cold War, the U.S.S.R, Joseph Stalin and Karl Marx, nuclear threats, government domination of private industry and gulags. For most Americans who came of age during the height of the Cold War, who remember being taught to hide under their desks at school, socialism – like communism – has long been a dirty word.
As the Cold War continued to drag on, came the rise of McCarthyism; where Americans ranging from the public to politicians accused one another of being a communist. For politicians being called a communist or being labeled as “soft on communism” was very detrimental to careers. Unsurprisingly Democrats and Republicans would use the label of “communist sympathizer” as a way of steering voters away from their opponents. Though McCarthyism would die down as Joseph McCarthy lost all credibility and his importance in the political and public spheres waned, this method of accusing others of being friends of the communists would come back full force during the Vietnam War to discredit those who were opposed to U.S. involvement.
Intro Myths are stories that have many different meanings and often include symbols. Joseph Campbell was a writer, professor and studied mythology in great lengths in all its forms. Campbell was extremely knowledge about myths and it is clear that he believed that myths were always evolving and adapting in order to fulfill the needs of modern day people as he so eloquently stated: “…myths offer life models. But the models have to be appropriate to the time in which you are living, and our time has changed so fast that what was proper fifty years ago is not proper today.
Why Did the Nazi’s Target Minorities The Nazis believed that the Aryan race was a perfect race, and because of this Heinrich Himmler and Adolf Hitler devised the plan known as the “Final Solution” which would end up stripping the souls away from many. The Nazis used this belief to justify the unostensible truth that other races were inferior to the “perfect” Aryan race; this belief gave the Nazi’s a “good reason” to end the lives of many, which seemed to them, that they were “cleansing” society. It was also because of this situation and era that the Germans were living in that allowed for the spread of the Nazi Aryan
According to Geary, one of the sectors of he population that supported the Nazis were Protestants. In July 1932 the Nazi share of the vote was almost twice as high in Protestant as in Catholic areas. There was support in over-representation of Protestants, rural areas and small provincial towns, as well as of the Mittelstand, and there was a similar structure to the movements working-class constituency. The working class was under-represented in the Nazi ranks when compared to the German population as a whole. The scale of agrarian support for the party in the election suggests the Nazis were able not only to win the support of presents and rural laborers but also that have some large landowners. The Nazi electorate groups are unique because
In the source it is illustrated that their “aim” is to be “victor[ious] in spite of all terror”, this reveals a chauvinistic belief in the author. Chauvinism is an extreme form of patriotism where collective interest is placed above individual interest. The source also tends towards militarism, which is a belief of a people to have a military to aggressively achieve their national interest. This is proven in the source when the author expresses that “for without victory, there is no survival”.
