What were the primary reasons for the “fall” of Rome
Roman Empire
After 50 thousand deaths, it was clear, Rome was seen, as a declining empire and a sinking world. I think the fall of the Roman Empire was due to Military weakness, weak leadership, and disasters and diseases. To begin with, one reason why the Roman Empire fell was due to their military weakness. They got weak by when they abandoned parade ground drills. They also got weak and lazy when they thought that their armor started getting heavy, therefore they did not want to wear it. According to Vegetius, the roman historian, they did not wear their armor so they were exposed to wounds, in which they wanted to run and not fight/battle, for the roman empire. Once the military
The Roman Empire fell of multiple reasons. Some say it was because leaders were corrupted or it was economic issues. The reasons that will be talked about further on are, surrounding cities invaded Rome, Christianity spread, and their borders became to hard to control.
While the fall of the Roman Empire is well known, the exact causes of why it fell can be difficult to pinpoint. Many historians believe that Rome 's downfall was due to poor leadership, weakened economics, or perhaps a combination of the two along with other seemingly unrelated factors. However, there is a string of evidence suggesting that there were three main components that took place to bring about the fall of the Roman Empire. These determinant attributes did not happen all at once, and there was a domino effect with each one directly influencing the others. The fall of Rome occurred after a series of preventable events, including unacceptable emperors, the heavy reliance on slaves, and the increasingly uncontrollable borders of Rome.
The seemingly unstoppable Roman empire was certain to fall in a matter of time. Even though Rome was majorly affected by external attacks, I feel like the fall was because of the internal decline. The economy and social issues were the key factors that led to the descent of the large empire. A vast amount of their problems came from within the city. Every decision that Rome made had an extensive effect on the city itself and the rest of the world. Many foolish decisions made by terrible emperors weakened the city and eventually cause the many aspects of Roman life to crumble.
The Roman Empire fell because of military problems, natural Disasters, and most importantly legal injustice. One major reason for the fall of the Roman Empire was military problems. In document B, it says that *Roman soldiers had problems with armor. Their breastplates and helmets were to heavy so they decided not to wear them.
Rome fell because of laziness and negligence of the military. Inside document B, this happened because the military fought without armor and helmets so they got wounded easily by the Goths archers. The soldiers ran from fights rather than actually fighting. The army abandoned their own parade drills. Doc B). People were avoiding the drafts so the military became weak. No one tried to restore the armor so people would keep getting wounded. Eventually the weak military led to the fall of Rome.
There were multiple things that contributed to the fall of the Roman empire. Rome was once a vast and thriving empire in Europe, Africa, and Asia. In 177 CE, Rome was at the apex of its rise and was the most powerful Empire in the world. Centuries later, The empire no longer remained. Some examples of the things that contributed to the fall of the Roman Empire are as follow. Rome was overly sized, the emperors were constantly changing, and Christianity.
Like waves, Rome once was tall and strong, but eventually, every wave comes crashing down. Starting around 750 BCE was a strong and powerful empire- Rome. After fighting to get territory and succeeding, Rome took over places such as the Mediterranean sea and colonies in North Africa, the middle east, Egypt, and the asia minor. Caesar became a powerful emperor and led Rome to a time of peace (Pax Romana). Rome rose, but like most, eventually fell due to laziness, then causing invasion.
One reason Rome fell was the economic problems and corruption. First of all, since the military was so weak, the leaders kept dying. Mostly of assassination. For example, in the chart in document A, 13 emperors were assassinated. Also a lot of the time the leaders would have bribed the military to stay loyal. The leaders, the people chose, had enemies. The enemies would assassinate them, and take their place. The leaders also made horrible decisions. The empire got weaker and weaker every leader. Everything kept changing. Since most of the leaders didn’t agree with what the other leader previously made legal. The laws were all over the place.
The Roman Empire was a vast territory that expanded to three different continents. They were a place of honor, tradition, and respect. Rome has had several different periods, some of peace, and some of violence or unrest, but those were solved quickly and effectively. However, such a magnificent empire could not hold up under the strains that were slowly causing it to collapse. Rome began to face many problems that together allowed the fall of the Roman Empire. The three main problems that caused Rome to fall were invasions by barbarians, an unstable government, and pure laziness and negligence.
the early ancient civilization and the western European emerged the first world's power and influencing trade called Rome Empire. It had imaginable geographically extension of territories that were from the Mediterranean Sea in Europe, Africa and Asia and its population around 56.80 million. Its diversity of population was from all parts of the ancient Mediterranean world. It's economic, governs, and religious had caused the fell of Rome Empire. There are some of the reasons for what Rome Empire fell was its massive economic crisis. Its economic depended on poor people taxing, on slaves, and the trade of the Mediterranean. Its way to gain money was by getting taxes from poor people. Roman big population was poor, but these poor people began to run away to the Babaria's territories.
The Roman Empire lasted from around 27 BC to 476 AD. It included territories from the west and South Europe. The Roman Empire was challenged over years. Through its struggles and complications, it would not be able to survive. Due to their fight and changes it lasted for a while but could not overcome it. There are three main reasons to why the Roman Empire fell and they're because of military overspending, corruption, and Christianity.
Multiple aspects of Rome’s economy led to the fall of what was once the most powerful empire in the world. The Roman Empire was established in 27 BC, and it stretched throughout parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia. Their economy, which was once the idealistic financial system for countries worldwide, started to worsen. An empire, especially one as strong and powerful as Rome’s, cannot survive on an unstable economy. As finances, the work force, and diplomatic relations of Rome started to decline, so did the country. In 476 AD, the Roman Empire collapsed. The deterioration of Rome’s overall economy led to the fall of what was once known as “The Capital of the World.”
Fall of the Roman Empire The Roman empire was one of the most powerful and greater empires of its time during the late antiquity period. The Roman empire was divided into an east and west. The Western Empire would last until 467 C.E., while the Eastern Empire would stand through the next century. Although the Western Empire outlasted the Eastern Empire it still faced its own challenges and would collapse in 1453.
The Roman army made Roma fall because the soldiers needed to get paid to defend or help the people or land of Rome. That caused Rome to get poorer and cause more problems with the politics because they kept on interrupting them. That also gave revolts or increased the gap between the rich and the poor. The Roman army made Rome fall by the army no longer listened to the patriotism or to the Roman people, but to among themselves or the loyalty to the soldiers, and that is a way Rome lost the loyalty to make Rome fall. The army's of Rome were having problems of recruiting and that to made Rome fall too. The Roman Empire defense fell and the Roman Empire became very weak because the army stopped protecting Rome, but only listened to the other soldiers. So, Rome was invaded or got threats from the Northern European
In “The Fall of the Roman Empire”, the author Peter Heather talks about the ways the Roman empire conquered the many territories surrounding them and how strong of an empire the Roman empire was. He also talks about the build up of the events that caused the empire to fall. Peter also talks about the people that helped or was involved in the build up or the collapse of the Roman empire. Peter Heather mainly wrote this book to inform the reader of how the European barbarians got turned into enemies through imperialism; additionally, he mentions that these Barbarians were capable of tearing apart an empire that ruled over them for many years. Peter, also, mentions all of the battles and build ups that occurred throughout the Barbarians “reign” of power and speaks mainly of the battles that they went through. Peter’s argument is that the empire did not collapse because of social or moral collapse, but that the empire fell due to the Barbarians.
