Thank you for the support that you gave APD and me in FY-16. Mr. Song and I feel that your team and you bent over backwards in many instances to support our mission requirements. We couldn't have had a successful year without you. For that we are greatly appreciative. We look forward to working with you in this new fiscal year. With much gratitude, thank you.
Sports movies are knows as blockbuster movies. Sports movies are know for there monologues. A monologue is a long speech by one actor in a play or movie, or as part of a theatrical or broadcast program. Coach Gary Gaines, in the movie “Friday Night Lights” has a speech called “Being Perfect”. “Being Perfect” is a very powerful, emotional, and motivating speech. This speech is not your normal locker room speech. “Being Perfect’s” purpose is to inform the players and others that it doesn't take much just to feel good about yourself.
Bill Bill Bill Bill Bill Nye the science guy! Haha, that might've been a little corny. Mr. Nye, I hope you find the time to read this, I used to be a huge fan of yours in elementary school. However, I lost contact with you after entering middle school. I'm 20 years old now, and just about 2 years ago I somehow stumbled upon your name on one of the greatest websites ever, the almighty YouTube. I was instantly hooked to you and your videos on there. I found you because of my recently acquired passion for evolutionary biology and environmental physics in college. Honestly, I also have to give a lot of credit to the Cosmos: A Spacetime Oddessy (where is season 2 at?!) and Interstellar. They both contributed to my curiosity about the universe and
Changing who you are right now into who you want to be in the future is hard to comprehend. Especially as a high school student, our careers may still be uncertain. It’s undeniable though, that a big part of who you want to be is shaped by being in FBLA. Just being here at the state conference is evidence of the impact. Hello Illinois FBLA! I’m Neha Arun, and I’m running to be your FBLA state secretary. What comes to your mind when I say FBLA? Is it the conferences or the competitive events? Do you ever think about the business aspect of FBLA? The Business Leader part of FBLA often gets lost in the acronym. However, becoming who you want to be in the future is shaped by your business skills. What you learn by forming business partnerships will help you throughout your life, no matter
Language plays a crucial role in the development of power. Famous personalities in the United States use rhetorical devices to emphasize a specific point and make it clear to the audience. President Thomas Jefferson is a Democratic-Republican and won the election of 1800. In 1801 he presented his inauguration speech and was significant because it was the first time in the history when the power shifted from one party to the other. Martin Luther King, Jr. served as an American minister and played an active role in the civil rights movement. John F. Kennedy delivered his speech during his inauguration in order to develop relations with the Soviet Union and end Cold War. All the speeches were delivered by most known personalities and made use of rhetorical devices such as allusion and repetition to make their message memorable in the hearts of the citizens of America.
The odds of beating cancer are 10.5% but throw in an entire school, county and city, your odds a greatly increased and a teacher at my old school had cancer although he would end up losing the battle with the deadly disease he still managed to inspire me and the entire city of Yulee Florida, this is the story of Mr.O.
Imagine being on a trip in the outback and everything is going great until you accidentally slip on a rock and break your leg. What would you do? In those first few seconds you probably would have been thinking of sitting in a car for hours with agonising pain just to get to the nearest hospital. Well let me tell you about a man who solved this problem. John Flynn, a true Australian hero for many. John Flynn was the creator behind the first aerial medical service in Australia. It's most commonly known as The Royal Flying Doctors Service. John Flynn was born in 1880 in Victoria, Australia. His first ambition was to become a church minister but during his study he often thought of the harsh life in the outback were he grew up. These memories
“It’s about the fact that Australia is generally a very tolerant society until its minorities demonstrate that they don’t know their place. And at that moment, the minute someone in a minority position acts as though they’re not a mere supplicant, then we lose our minds. And we say, ‘No, no, you’ve got to get back in your box here’."
Next fall? I started campaigning Nov 7th, 2014!!! I can't WAIT to earn the Folsom residents votes in 2016 and give back to the community that's given me so much! The times of 20+ years of the same council members is over. I love Folsom, I grew up in Folsom, I'm a Bulldog... we truly have an amazing city, but Folsom is not on course to remain a city "Distinct by Nature." We're in jeopardy of losing what make Folsom, Folsom. Keep your eyes open this election, many things happen behind the scenes that strategically keep some folks re-elected every time.
Hello my name is Adam Pleimann. The role of being president is one that only few dream of. It is a very large role and can sometimes push some people too far. Ford has had many ups and downs but had a very good term. Ford lived out a very good life and had many accomplishments. He was the first President to serve without being elected into office. I’m going to tell you where he came from, what he did as president, and his life after leading our country.
On January 20, 1961 John F. Kennedy Gave his Inaugural speech. As John F. Kennedy of the United States, I believe that his purpose of his speech was to make the U.S right, fix overseas affairs, and end the cold war.
First, thank you for your service! I agree with you completely! We'll have two seat up for grabs this year. Jeff Starsky, whose served four terms (16 years) and Ernie Sheldon whose served two terms. I've lived in Folsom since 1989, graduated Folsom High and am now a National Account Security Manager. I've learned a lot about this city and I'm ready to service the Folsom residents. I bring a tremendous amount of energy, innovation and tactics our current leaders doesn't have. My goal is to integrate the positives attributes I have, into our council and engage a whole new demographic that's non-exist in Folsom politics. That means working together and learning from current leadership as well.
Good afternoon graduates, families, friends, and faculty. Today, the Hillsborough Middle School class of 2016 will be graduating from the place that we have called home for the past two years. Today, a new chapter in the lives of these students begins. However, before we leave, I would like to remind us of the memories and accomplishments that we have experienced over the course of our middle school education.
On one bitter January day, John F. Kennedy presented his Inauguration speech to the citizens of America and the people of the world. At the completion of a competitive election, Kennedy used this speech to connect with the audience and celebrate his victory as the 35th president. He addresses the crowd with a speech that is remembered for years ahead, as it emphasizes on personal obligation and responsibility. Kennedy’s strong appeal to ethos and compelling emotional and logical contentions help inspire the audience to make a difference for the better. Furthermore, Kennedy influences the rest of the world by representing different nations as one whole populace.
It seems that no one really understands us. By “us” I mean the people who live every day in fear of starving or freezing to death. People walk past us on the streets and comment on how sick we look, but they do nothing to help! They think that if they give us money we will just spend it on alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs. They don't understand that we are scared, scared of dying, and scared of having nothing to live for.
Two k sixteen is starting off very well There are many smiles and laughs this year We don't have much time in this here hell Our graduation is coming so don't fear.
