Sportsball is a perfect information style board game in which the player is tasked with purchasing and assembling a team of multiple different units who each their own unique ability in order to score their sportsball in the opponent's end zone. During the development of this game I handled board design along with helping to design and balance some of the units that were featured in the final build of the game namely the passer. Xander and Chris worked primarily on the rules of the game and refining the overall mechanics of the entire game. Michelle created a majority of the art assets for this games such as the physical board, game box, and character tokens for each unit. With this board design I was called upon to create a that was narrow, but still was enough horizontal space to allow the player to move in multiple directions without running out of the necessity space that their specific strategy requires. After multiple play tests and tweaks I feel that the final board design is the definitive way to play and enjoy the sportsball experience that our team set out to create.

As a game, I feel that Sportsball is very fun to play and it is generally a unique experience. However, I feel that the game could possibly go on for a very long time which could become a problem for some players who might not enjoy long play sessions. This problem could primarily be a result of the complexity of certain units and the amount resource management that is required to play this game. Play time was the one thing that varied widely between different groups of play testers and this might be something that could be looked into further at a later
