I am writing to you today to express my disappointment with the United States Government, specifically around the Armenian Massacre. I along with many other citizens of this country, believe that it is unjust to not acknowledge this mass killing for what it is, a genocide. The United States is home to roughly 1,400,000 people of Armenian descent, giving us a greater population of Armenians than most countries. Countries with half the Armenian population as us, have no trouble acknowledging what happened in 1915-1917 as a genocide, then why do we? A genocide is described as “the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation.” This event falls under that definition without a smidgen of
Between the years of 1915 and 1918 the Ottoman Empire, under the Young Turks began a deliberate program of removing and exterminating the Armenian population; a population already dismantled through previous massacres. The Armenians were a minority in both population and religion. Because most Armenians were Christians, they were made an easy scapegoat in an empire that was mostly Islamic. With the world’s eyes on the First World War, the Armenian Genocide went mostly unnoticed and there were no punishments such as ones received by Germany after the Holocaust. The United States has deliberately avoided the recognition of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 in order to maintain an ally in the Middle East and to avoid American genocidal policies,

The devastating mass shooting at a community college in Roseburg, Oregon, inspires President Barack Obama to take the podium in outrage Thursday, to express his grievances and to call for tougher gun control.
I am sure that everyone of you have heard about aliens and UFOs. Indeed, we all have heard about the famous case of aliens and UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico. Most people might be interested in the topic of aliens, but I know that the majority of you just think of it as rumours and the existence of them are impossible. Therefore, I am standing here in front all of you to make you change your perspective. I am strongly confident that I have found the evidence of their real existence to convince all of you.
Hours earlier he was a happy 4 year old that loved the Hulk, Iron Man, and all of the Avengers. Now as Bryson Mees-Hernandez approached death with his brain swelling from a bullet hole in his face, his mother assured the boy it was ok to die. Bryson was playing under his grandma's bed and accidentally shot himself with a .22 caliber in the face. Many ways could've saved his life if Bryson’s grandma would have stored the gun in a safe where Bryson couldn't have got ahold of it and accidentally shot himself. About 200 million Americans own guns; about 59.6% more males use guns for suicide than females. The only way to stop that is to build a safe reliable gun room.
As you may be aware, what I recently quoted was a reference from Dumbledore to whom was a teacher, a mentor and a big influence on his students. I am standing here before you to convey my views on the refugee predicament.
Good morning delegates of the youth parliament and observing members. Today I stand before you to discuss an issue that continues to evoke high emotions and create deep divisions within Australian society. I refer to the matter of refugees and Australia's immigration policy. Not since the second world war has the world faced such an upheaval with so many people displaced. In 2015 there were 65.3 million people forcibly displaced from their homes because of conflict and persecution. Developing countries hold 84% of refugees while wealthier countries like Australia prioritise the need to reduce asylum seekers within their borders. The current policy contravenes the proper treatment of refugees and asylum seekers; because regardless of their mode of entry, once here Australia has a duty to provide protection.
So, if you're reading this I'm sure that, at this point, you've heard about the mass murder that happened in Las Vegas. A lot of people out there are claiming if we outright banned assault rifles, this wouldn't have happened. There's some very good arguments to be made for and against that, but I think there's something that is definitely being neglected in the debate over what happened, it's the shooter's mental state.
Great people of the United States thank you for voting this year. Specifically I will do my best for you not to be dissatisfied while i am in office. For today we start a new era of greatness. For I would like to thank my mom for being there and telling me never to quit. My goal in these speeches is to turn my opponents in my direction. I will face a big issue in these for years but I will be strong. This issue is racism and mass shootings. Witnesses to Sunday's mass shooting rampage at a pool party in San Diego are pushing back against the idea that the shooting was not a hate crime.
Specific Purpose Statement: To persuade my audience to get involved and to help stop the genocide in Darfur
On a crisp evening on November 13th 2015 a series of mass shootings, suicide bombings and hostage situations ensued. A Rattle of bullets, grenades and bombs were unleashed on innocent unarmed civilians. However the worse part was not how but where. Not in a war zone, not even in one notorious for violence, but in the biggest tourist destination in Europe; The City of light - Paris. The attacks were carried out in the places, out with our homes, that we feel safest: cafes, restaurants and even a music venue. These heartless, ruthless attacks deserve consequences, someone should pay.
On August 12, there was an attack in a city in Virginia, Charlottesville. A man in a car with white supremacists and Neo-Nazi’s crashed his car on purpose into an anti-racists protesters. There was 2 dead and 1 injured, Donald Trump’s response was “We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Let's come together as one!” He also said both sides were to blame. These racists groups are very violent and even they’re not exactly in those groups people are still getting killed by cops that are racists too.
With the Black Lives Matter movement at an all-time high, Dream Kardashian being born, and protests about Trump becoming president many people have forgotten about South Sudan. South Sudan in the world’s youngest nation located in East-central Africa. It is a country that is rich in oil, but it is also one of the least developed countries in the world since it has been in decades of civil war. South Sudan gained its independence from Sudan in 2011. The country has fought numerous civil wars, the most recent being due to the collapse of a peace deal, signed by the two opposing factions, President Salva Kirr, and Riek

Violence is something that will always be there, whether it be right up in your face, on a battlefield, or creeping in the darkness, sowing the seeds of despair and resentment in humanity’s hearts, forever changing the landscape of your life to come. Violence has vigorously torn apart relationships that have lasted centuries, all because of a single gunshot, which has led to massive bloodshed, and the loss of many loved ones. Violence is a part of a cycle that is necessary in life, but would rather be avoided, which is why I am here, to help diminish that cycle of hatred, through the power of prevention through education, and self control.
