Global warming today is a scientific fact, and have been through controversial and emotional public discussion. Global warming research shows average climate temperatures have been increasing for the last century and an increase in weather temperature fluctuations, affecting the global biosphere environment. Local environments have also been affected by these changes, and many claim local biospheres could be led up to extinction especially in locations such as the polar caps. The argument suggests that global warming is responsible for the decrease in deer population in Canada’s artic regions.
The argument relies heavily on the unwarranted assumption, that global warming implies the average warming of all areas simultaneously. This assumption is untrue, since climate and weather are extremely different, as weather is only a local instance of the global climate, meaning weather could be fluctuating between higher and lower temperatures. If, as the author suggest, ice formation has decrease rapidly, such that deer cannot move between habitats, the author must present evidence that the local temperatures, as opposed to global, have

Deer hunting for itself could be the very cause for the decrease in numbers. For example, if deer hunting is performed all year round, the number of deer might decrease gradually and perhaps reached a cutoff point, where mating has become rare due to population sparsity. The author must present such evidence, showing deer population through the years, the percentage of deer hunted and how the ratio of deer population increase, the number of the hunted deer and the number of the hunter population itself. Though complicated, proving hunting is not the main cause for deer population declining, through regulation such as hunting and mating seasons, the author would strengthen his
The argument rests on the claims of local reports which report about the declination of the arctic deers. Then the author mentions about global warming and how this coincidence with the local report. However, the claims from the author is not well supported nor it does mention any real life facts.
The first argument examined on the man-made global warning side is that increasing greenhouse gases caused by human activities is causing directly observed climate changes. The first resulting climate change discussed is warming global surface temperature. There has been an increase in global surface temperature of 0.74 degrees C since the late 19th century. In the last 50 years alone the temperature has increased by 0.13 degrees C per decade. North America and Eurasia have seen the largest increase in warmth. However, some areas of the earth have actually cooled some this past century (Easterling & Karl, 2011, para6). After the mid 20th century 70% of the global land mass saw reduced diurnal temperatures. From 1979 to 2005 the maximum and minimum temperatures have shown no change; both indicate warming (Easterling & Karl, 2011, para10). Furthermore, borehole temperatures, snow cover, and glacier recession data all seem to agree with recent warming (Easterling & Karl, 2011, para11).
How many declining wildlife habitats will it take until we grapple with global warming? The author of this passage surely agrees with above demand. He argues that the artic deer population declined as quickly as the weather changed. Though the underlying issue of the dying artic deer is directly correlated to global warming has merit, the passage does not deliver concise proof, supporting evidence and seems to assume his audience will agree.
Nevertheless, it is important to mention the effects global warming has had on the Artic. Among these effects, we can mention the rising temperatures that result in the loss of sea ice and the melting of the ice sheet. Also, the negative impact it has on tundra vegetation’s composition that as a consequence causes the loss of the Arctic’s fauna’s
Global warming has disrupting the natural Arctic wildlife patterns by all the ice is melting right
Global Warming has had an enormous impact in several different ecosystems. From forests to the ocean, and especially to cold environments like the North Pole. The effects of global warming have been so bad that the ice have started to melt, and animals that need the ice to survive or other vital activities started to suffer. Animals like polar bears (Ursus maritimus) have been seen behaving in different ways, and all the evidence leads to global warming. There have been evidence of polar bears that drowned because of the lack of ice, but one of the most significant changes in their behavior is their way of hunting. Polar bears now have been seen hunting in land to satisfy their need of food. This lead to several questions, is this behavior
"We call them dumb animals, and so they are, for they cannot tell us how they feel, but they do not suffer less because they have no words” (Anna Sewell). There is undeniable evidence that animals are being affected by climate change. Even though the effects are difficult to measure, there are many different ways animals are being affected. With the loss of predator and prey species it affects the life cycles in the food chain. The earth’s climate change causes habitats such as snow, ice, or forest areas to alter, resulting in loss of habitat and food accessibility as well as causing extinction.
Everybody in the world notices it. The weather is different than it was, even 10 years ago. The Earth’s climate is warming up, and it’s causing crazy weather changes and natural disasters, such as the floods that happened here in Alberta in 2013. All people, industries, and the government are affected by it. This has spurred a heated argument over whether the government should interfere or not. The government has intervened with the new Alberta carbon tax, and some people disagree with this, while others think it’s a good idea.
Global warming is the earth warming up, the Earth is warming up because of the greenhouse gasses makes the earth warm up every year it wasn’t a big problem as it is today when they first discovered it. It’s a huge problem today because were having animals in danger for example polar bears. Recently in Antarctica it reached 62 degrees. Which means US as a planet need to do our part and take care of this planet. The atmosphere generally attributes to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide Carbons and other pollutants.
Global warming has been an issue for some time. Currently, the “hot topic” is being discussed as of late. Everyone is talking about it including celebrities and experts on the issue. There are those that have differing opinions, however. Both sides of the argument bring up very valid points, considering the state of which the planet is currently in, with factually based evidence to support both sides of the spectrum. I was given three references concerning the subject to global warming. One was the documentary "Earth Days" directed by Robert Stone, and two documents; "Global Warming & Climate Change in Perspective: CO2, Scientific Consensus, and Climate Models" by William Harper and "The False Alert of Global Warming" by Tom Bethell. The documentary "Earth Days" discussed the historical significance of Earth Day and the attempts made to saving the planet's ecosystem via politically, socially, economically, and the overall impact the day has made on the environment. It had the original founders and advocates of Earth Day explain the outcome of the event. Also, the author of "Global Warming & Climate Change in Perspective: CO2, Scientific Consensus, and Climate Models", William Harper, discussed the very minimal, if not any, changes made towards global warming via CO2 emissions, and discussed the historical and present data pertaining to the subject of "greenhouse gasses", advocating that CO2 emissions are not a direct cause of global warming. The other author of "The False
The concept of global warming has become one of the most widely debated and controversial topics of our time. Scientists learned long ago that the earth’s climate has powerfully shaped the history of humanity. However, it is only in the past few decades that research has revealed that humans have a significant influence on the climate as well. A growing body of scientific evidence indicates that since 1950, the world’s climate has been warming, primarily as a result of emissions from the burning of fossil fuels and the destruction of tropical forests. More importantly, an article titled "Global Warming" published in the New York Times shows that methane, a gas that is emitted from landfills, livestock and oil gas facilities,
Global warming, we see it as sad polar bears hopelessly swimming for their lives in the ocean. It's shown as rising sea levels that can washout entire cities. It even sometimes gets turned into politics but scientifically, what is the definition of global warming?
When one encounters the concept and idea of global warming, we inquire a wide range of opinions, facts, assumptions, and philosophies. As the general population of the world, the idea
Although some believe that Global Warming has been created due to manmade pollutants, I believe that Global Warming is a natural process that has been accelerated due to the excess emissions of pollutants from nature and manmade devices into the atmosphere. The world has been said to be on a cycle of global warming and cooling, this process can neither be stopped nor prevented, but it can be accelerated with the addition of non-natural emissions from automobiles and factories; because this is a natural process, even if constraints were to be put on the amount of pollutants released into the air global warming could not be prevented—it could only be slowed. When the inevitable happens and global warming occurs, there are many
Global warming is the constant increase of temperature in the earth’s atmosphere that is caused by the increase of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, greenhouse gases and many other pollutants. Chlorofluorocarbons are any type of compounds of carbon, hydrogen, chlorine, and fluorine which are harmful to the ozone layer. Global warming can affect many things, one example is the rising of temperature which can result in different types of disasters like storms, heat waves, floods, and droughts. Global warming also causes Higher death rates, Dirtier air, Higher wildlife extinction rates, the increase of Acidic Oceans, and Higher seas levels. In this essay, I will provide information that will show how harmful global warming can be to not only the earth but to humans and animals, and what we can do to prevent it from increasing.
