Introduction
The introduction of religion due to globalization has brought about challenges and benefits to the different regions of the world. A shift in thinking and migration has formed a new wave of Christian thought in southern regions of the world and the benefits are uneven resulting in; the strong are getting stronger and the weak are continuing to whisk away while holding on to hope. It’s safe to say that in many parts of Africa, Latin America and Asia, religion is about sheer survival through adaptation, identity and personal faith. This southward trend has spread religious idealism of Christianity which will lead to a new powerful global Christianity.
It has been predicted by cultural historians that a shift in world culture and a decrease of clashes among civilizations. Well, part of that prediction is current with the expansion of Christianity into new areas and the decease of clashing has not cease, but rising. According to Philip Jenkins, he proposes that global demographics changes will lead to a revitalization of Christianity. He also notes that the Christian religion that has been very traditional and its forms are being adopted quickly and spreading. Because of its spread over time the majority of Christians will be non-white believer, traditional, and not of European descent.
