As an English student here at Chaffey College, I can say Ms. Ford 's class was the right fit for me. She warned us early on that her class would not be for everyone. For myself, I can say she has taught me a lot throughout the course of English 475. Her love for teaching shows and has helped me through my journey of earn my “A” in her class. Every day we learned something new that is what made it important for me to attend class every day. During this time, I have worked extremely hard and devoted adequate time to this course. Even when my hearing made it difficult at times; I chose to work harder and not give up. I did not allow this disability to hold me back. Despite my hearing impairment, I have earned an A because I have utilized extra resources available to me which ultimately led to my improvement in the areas of essay writing and reading strategies. For starters, I am entitled to an “A” because I set a goal and achieved it by improving my essay writing skills. Which, I have been able to so by learning different writing techniques, staying focused, and striving towards academic success. I have excelled well throughout the whole course by making it a priority of being in class everyday in the end, I was able to receive all of the writing skills that were taught and put them to use. Also by being in class every day I was able to get all key information needed for writing a good essay. I made sure to arrange all other things in my life around my class
I felt that I put a great deal of effort toward the grade that I wanted, through my strict self discipline in my class effort. I was extremely critical when I was reading novels and stories, editing essays, and writing essays. Moreover, I was able to improve my writing and analyzation
My other reason why I deserve a A- or B is every time I attend plus I never have a attitude ,I’m always listening and hard working , always asking questions, always helping. But I have more reasons why I think I deserve an A- or B is Because I’m always on time, never disrespectful, help to make this school better as in giving ideas to our student council and they
I noticed you sent an announcement out about seeing our grade as of Friday in the handout section, but when I try and click on that section there is no link for it. Also, from what I can recall, on the quizzes, and Rocketmix I am not doing well in your class and would like any and all suggestions you have for me. I'm feeling upset with myself as I've been doing well in all of my classes since attending the CSUDH I'm on track to graduate Summa Cum Laude. I have had many struggles in the past with school and getting my first Associates degree and I believe being a first generation college student did not help matter but now 10 years have past since my first degree and I've learned to be a better college student since then and going into
Receiving an “A” in a class means the student completed the curriculum with exceptional work and critical
I will not get an A, and I know that it is my fault. I should have work harder, I should have focus more on my lesson and homework, I shouldn’t wait until the last minus to finish assignments. Also, I should learn how to use time effectively. Those are experiences that I have learn about myself. The other thing which is more important is that I knew what I want to do in the future. Thanks to the assignments such as Career profile assignment, College comparison assignment, and
The majority of them were in my English classes and a few essays for other classes, which takes only a few days to compose. I mainly took standard English classes and one honors throughout high school. The grades I've received from my writings and also for the class are mainly B's and a few A's, nevertheless, I would like to receive an A in this class. At this point, you might be frowning and begin to question my previous statement. How could someone who only worked hard enough just to receive a B's will receive an A in this class? I am also not a very experienced writer as I've established earlier. I also fully understand that this course will be more challenging than any of my previous English classes, hence I am having an anxiety attack while writing this essay, nevertheless I truly want to become a better writer. A good writing skill is one of the keys to become successful. You will be required to be able to intellectually express yourself to
I believe that I deserve a solid A in English 250 because I have worked very hard in this course and learned many valuable information that will be useful later in my life. Especially this summer because I will be taking a speech class at a community college. I have grown in the learning aspect of this English course, but also in many other areas as well like speaking up in class which I don’t normally do in my other classes due to the number of students and I am just a shy person. Also in this course, I get to work with others in small groups and be a team player from participating in the group discussions and sharing my thoughts about a certain topic. I have been able to analyze many parts of grammar and resources that have urged me to further
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you back to another academic year here at Prince George’s Community College. As our students return to campus and our faculty and professional staff prepare for the busy weeks and months to come, I wanted to take a few moments to look ahead to an exciting fall term and beyond, as well as share a few of the College’s highlights from the past year—a year that has seen us continue our growth and evolution into one of the most dynamic and exciting institutions in the region.
Why do I deserve an A as a grade? I deserve an A as a grade for this class for many reasons. I think I deserve this grade because for one it’s a good grade period and teachers tell me they appreciate me doing their work they give me. Then I try to get all my assignments in, and most of the time I try my hardest, that’s what makes what my grades are now, and lastly I try to pay attention even when something isn’t interesting because I want to show my younger brother that life is hard but it doesn’t hurt to try in school and to not give up.
So … snaps fingers … wow! This is a lot of people. Well, first off, congratulations everyone; you all made it this far. Hopefully you will be able to make through this speech. According to page ten of the Chisago Lakes High School Student Handbook, all of you have earned at least 28 credits in a variety of disciplines throughout the last four years. And for those English nerds out there, I do have a properly formatted works cited page if you would like to fact-check me. Don’t worry.
In English 101, during the course of the semester, I believe that I have overall earned a B+ as a final grade. During the semester my grades have been consistently average and my essays have gotten progressively more detailed and although they haven’t been the most concise they have gotten a lot stronger and showed more promise as the semester progressed which is showing that, during the time I have been learning things in class and applying those skills towards essays, and homework. During the class period I have also participated in almost, if not all of the class discussions, while making sure I voice my opinions and thoughts. While I
On my first freshman English essay, I got a C+. I was a bit miffed. I thought I had done my best.
The Grace M. Davis Class of 2018 has been through much together. From the first day as a freshman realizing that high school is nothing like High School Musical to witnessing your first riot, #DavisRiots2014. We may have never thought about it but we all went through probably the most important part of our lives together. We may have lost friends, but we gained even better ones in return. Some of us found our best friend(s) in these past four years, or maybe you found your best friend before that and grew closer over these past four years, or maybe you’re like me and found your best friend but didn’t know it at first because you used to hate each other.
For starters, I have earned an A by making it a goal to improve on my writing skills. English class seemed to be the most dreadful to take within school. Writing essays for most of my grade in a class is not what I was looking forward too. When I entered college I knew that it would be one of many challenging classes I would have to take. Starting from the lowest English class to moving on up, the writing assignments became longer and more thought out. The time came when I got into this class that I knew more work was going to have to be put into essays and thus brought out what I had not seen before in my work progress.
