The most recent population count in Vancouver, B.C. was in 2011 stating that 603,500 people were living there. About 2,500 homeless people are none to live on the streets of Metro Vancouver. The Vancouver growth has been on the decline in the past couple years where it once reached 9% in 1996.
When it comes to language spoken in Vancouver there is actually a great deal of diversity. First comes English and secondly is Chinese which is pretty crazy to think a city in Canada would have a high population of Chinese speaking individuals. About half of the children that attend grammar school in Vancouver are taught another language besides English.

The Capilano Suspension Bridge- This is one of the top visited attractions in Vancouver. The bridge is about 460 ft. long and stands about 260 ft. above a river. It draws over 800,000 visitors …show more content…

This place is also home to a ginormous 400 seat OMNIMAX theatre for shows about solar systems and other astronomy related topics. Built in 1977, they had put this place together for about 35 million.
VanDusen Botanical Garden- This beautiful garden which opened in August 1975, covers about 55 acres of land in Vancouver. It was named after a philanthropist named Whitford Julian VanDusen. Some of the cool sites include carved totem poles, large rock forms/structures, and the Korean Village Pavilion located in the asian garden section. There is also a pretty neat maze in one of the gardens which children especially favor.
Whistler Mountain- Whistler Mountain Park was home to the 2010 Winter Olympics and many of the athletes said that this was one of their favorite places to compete. The elevation is at about 7,200 ft as this consistently has made the top ten ski resorts in the world for the past ten years. They receive about 400 inches of snowfall each
