TybaltIn Romeo and Juliet, a character named Tybalt is brought into everything that is going on between the two lovebirds. The theme of this Story is about the forcefulness of love. This play mainly focuses on the love that Romeo and Juliet have for each other. In Act III scene 1, Tybalt wishes to duel Romeo, but then Romeo's cousin, Mercutio, steps in instead. During the duel, Tybalt ends up killing Mercutio which unleashes rage in Romeo and duels Tybalt. In the heat of the moment, Romeo then ends up killing Tybalt because of this anger and is banished. For Juliet, Tybalt's death affects her family. With, and after what happened, Juliet reconsiders her love for Romeo because of what he has done. In this act, Tybalt is always urging on the fight
Tybalt is the color red. The color symbolizes many things. It symbolizes passion, violence, and danger. Tybalt is a man who loves a good fight. In the first act, he tries to fuel the servant fight, then he tries to provoke Benvolio to draw his sword. At the party, Tybalt heard Romeo’s voice, and he was nearly in a fight. Tybalt ordered, “Fetch me my rapier, boy” (I, v, 62). Since Tybalt could not fight Romeo at the party, he sent a letter to his house. The letter proposed a duel between him and Romeo. In Act 3, scene 1, Tybalt and his gang walked by. Romeo appeared and Tybalt started calling Romeo names. Romeo stayed calm and attempted to reason with Tybalt; however, Tybalt still wanted to fight. Mercutio challenged Tybalt, then Romeo stepped
Tybalt is a very vengeful character. When tybalt and Mercutio fight, Mercutio gets stabbed and dies which will cause Romeo go crazy. “Why the devil come you between us? I was hurt under your arm.”(3.1.70) with these words, Romeo feels guilty about his best friend's death, that was mainly caused because Romeo denied fighting Tybalt.
When Juliet finds out that Tybalt has been killed and Romeo is in exile, for killing Tybalt, Juliet feels both passionate about Romeo and disappointed in both Romeo and herself, which reveal her inner struggle. In Act 3, Juliet’s Nurse comes back with this news that Tybalt is dead and that Romeo is such an awful person for killing him. Juliet fights back at the Nurse, and herself, for speaking bad about Romeo. She claims, ““Shall I speak ill of him that is my husband? Ah, poor my lord, what tongue shall smooth thy name, When I, thy three hours' wife, have mangled it? But wherefore, villain, didst thou kill my cousin? That villain cousin would have killed my husband.” (3.2.99-101). This shows that Juliet is passionate about Romeo, because first of all, she says that she was wrong to say bad things about her husband.
In addition to Juliet’s parents, Tybalt, Juliet’s cousin, instigated a fight between himself and Romeo. This is what caused Romeo to be banished from Verona to Mantua. This is what started Juliet wanting to leave Verona to be with Romeo in Mantua. This started Romeo not finding out about Juliet faking her death and then awakening to go be with Romeo. Tybalt is an instigator, troublemaker, and fighter, and a reader may label him as unforgiving. If he would have found out about Romeo and Juliet he might have disagreed with both of them. If one were to wondered when Romeo and Tybalt fought, one would find it in Act three Scene one. In lines sixty-nine through seventy-three, Romeo confesses to Tybalt that they are in fact related and Romeo is married to Juliet. Tybalt did not even catch on to what Romeo was talking about. Tybalt comes off as arrogant. In some ways Romeo and Tybalt are very
Moments before, Romeo thinks that he could never harm Tybalt, as he has married Juliet, Tybalt now his kin. Romeo states that he “love[s] [Tybalt] better than [Tybalt] canst devise” (3.1.70). But by the death of his dear friend, instead of his love for Tybalt, his heart now despises him. His anger is shown when “for Mercutio’s soul is but a little way above [their] heads,” as his hate is born towards Tybalt, whom he had just moments before loved, stating that “[his] name [he] tender as dearly” as his own (3.1.72-73,131-132). His hate turns murderous as he tells Tybalt that Mercutio is “staying for thine to keep him company” (3.1.133). As Romeo states that “thou or I, or both, must go with him” (3.1.134), the duel breaks out, leaving Tybalt slain, his kinsmen now his foe. The hate and revenge that Romeo felt caused love to turn to zeal for Tybalt's blood. His belief that he must not hurt his kinsmen but love him, the reminder that fights were not allowed by the prince, ended with the spilled blood of Mercutio. The death of his friend turned love to hate, the hate that killed

In The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Tybalt was the enforcer of the story and always tried to stir up more chaos in the feud between the Montagues and Capulets. An example of this can be found in Act 1, when the Capulet’s party is going on, when Tybalt senses Romeo, he ends up getting very defensive and angry, “This, by his voice, should be a Montague, / Fetch me my rapier, boy. . . Now, by the stock and honor of my kin, / To strike him dead I hold it not a sin” (5.52-57). Tybalt’s quick and unthoughtful actions make him a hot-headed character who is very easy to dislike. With Tybalt’s previous actions, the story leaned toward the idea that he was going to cause a damaging and lethal event to happen, which he indeed did. After spotting Romeo at the Capulet party, Tybalt felt disrespected and was livid, due to this, he challenged Romeo to a duel. When they both meet up on the street, Romeo attempts to make peace with Tybalt and to end all disagreements between the two. However, Tybalt is there to cause drama and he declines, stating that Romeo’s request “shall not excuse the injuries / that thou hast done to me” (3.1.61-62). Tybalt’s rejection of Romeo’s request led to his own death as well as Mercutio’s. Another consequence of these actions was Romeo’s banishment from Verona, which ended up

Romeo, at the time grieving for Mercutio, agreed to fight Tybalt. Through this interaction an understanding is made of how people can often do things they will later regret because of conflict.
