Many singers have attempted to perform Whitney Houston's classic "I Will Always Love You." However, very few of them are able to perform the song as well as Whitney Did. A singer named Josh Weathers recently performed this song. Before he performed, he stated that he would be doing a song to honor his mother on her birthday. At first, the crowd did not take him seriously because he seemed to be joking when he first got on stage.
When Josh started singing and playing his guitar, the crowd was wowed. Whitney Houston had a very powerful voice. Most singers are not able to hit all of the notes like she did. Josh was able to hit all of the high notes. People were not only impressed with Josh's singing, but he was also impressed with how well he

Holly had a unique singing style which featured stretched syllables and high energy. He broke the typical rock practice by singing ballads with a “feeling of nervous excitement,” said Arnold Shaw in The Rockin’ 50s. Buddy took a ballad of woeful words and
At Aaliyah’s funeral everyone is crying, sobbing, or they have this look like they just lost something they loved. Which was true because everyone loved Aaliyah, her voice, her character, her everything. Everyone’s watching her parents as they see their daughter for the last time. Missy Elliot sings a song and the press were shock at the famous guest who came to say their last goodbye’s, some of them being Jay-Z, R.Kelly, Diamond Dash, and many more. Aaliyah was one in a million and she left a mark on this world that can never be
Finally the last performer and in my opinion the best of the night, Ms. Marsha Ambrosius. Marsha Ambrosuis is an R&B singer. According to freedictionary.com R&B is defined as “a style of music developed by African Americans that combines blues and jazz, characterized by a strong backbeat and repeated variations on syncopated instrumental phrases.” As she sang Marsha gave a story as to the songs she performed and related it back to the album’s title whether the song related to lovers or friends and if she though that two people could be lovers and friends. There was no question as to what the song implied or was about during the performance
The Queen of Neo-Soul released a second album the same year of “Baduizm”. This was her first LP album titled “Live” and it also went double platinum. The same release day of the album Badu gave birth to her first child, Seven Sirius. The hit song “Tyrone” became no. 1 for six weeks straight. The song was freestyled and loved by so many. It makes it really hard to understand what she is saying at times. She has a really powerful voice and I think it’s amazing how effortlessly she sings for that long. Her use of resonance is also really impressive and makes the performance much more exciting. Her Freedom on stage is really impressive as well because she looks so natural standing there.
Bareilles was born for the stage; her shows involve and engage the audience as well as strategically approach specific tracks to make listeners race with unknown feelings. On top of that, she delivers her unrelenting, heartfelt lyrics with possibly the strongest vocal range in the music industry.
The fact that she was able to sing the song at that magnitude, at that moment, is amazing. This performance also tells us how strong her love was for Curtis Taylor Jr. (Jamie Foxx). It tells us how strong her love was for Curtis because she sings the song to him. The song is about her not going anywhere and telling him to love her like she loves him. Sadly, the song does not affect Curtis and he moves on.
After watching and scanning Lauro’s piece, we found that the live performance gave more sense to the plot than reading it. However, reading the script along with watching the live performance contributed to a better understanding for the audience. To start, the plot of the play consists of actions that occur on and off stage. Sometimes the readers may get confused because of this, so in this case the live performance makes it simpler to comprehend. In the play, almost all of the fighting scenes were offstage because there was not enough space to make them occur on stage. As a result, when Maryjo started to say that there was a mass casualty coming in, the fight did not occur onstage since there was not enough space to show the fighting scene. For example, we can see the reaction of Whitney, Steele, and Martha when the mas casualty came in:
Whitney lived with her parents until the day they said their last breath. That day was very heartbreaking day for Whitney. She was sad but with her grandmother's support she was able to be strong and then let go of what happened to her parents.Whitney started singing and pursing singing as her career. She found a producer and a mentor who always told her to embrace and care for her voice.
“As I lay me down, heaven hear me now. I’m lost without a cause, after giving it my all. Winter storms have come, and darkened my sun. After all that I’ve been through, who on earth can I turn to? I look to you.” This is a quote from the song “I Look to You” by Whitney Houston. This song came out right after Houston got out of rehab, making it seem like it was her recovery song and the way she told the world she was back in the entertainment world (Oprah Winfrey Show, 2009). In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Houston told her about the new song and album. She said, “That makes it real. The changes that we go through, being a mother, becoming a single mother. It all has its ups and downs, but for the most part, I kept my faith and I kept my head up…I took my time.” She later added, “All the triumphs and the ups and downs and stuff, it’s all incorporated on the album, and hopefully not only it inspires me, but it inspires a whole lot of other people.” Whitney Houston was an American singer, actress, and model. She was the most awarded African American singer and actress of all time (Finkelman, 2009). Houston was also one of pop music’s best-selling music artists of all time, and she estimated selling around 170-200 million records worldwide throughout her career. Houston released a total of six studio albums, which included one holiday album, and three movie soundtrack albums during her lifetime. All of her albums gained
Have you heard of this song called “I just called to say I love you”? I bet you have. It is the song written, produced and performed by musician Stevie Wonder. When I first learned that he was visually impaired, I was surprised as well as inspired. He was born with a condition called retinopathy of prematurity which made him blind from infancy. But it did not stop him from pursuing his love of music. He released his first album at the age of 12. He can play multiple instruments. He has released many albums and written beautiful songs. He has won 25 Grammy Awards and it made him the male solo artist who has received the most Grammy Awards in history. His enormous accomplishments in his career reserved him a place in history. Despite his
The song I have chosen is “I Will Always Love You” performed by Whitney Houston, produced by David Foster, and written by Dolly Parton. “I Will Always Love You” was featured in the 1992 movie The Bodyguard and is an iconic soul ballad sung with complex ranges by the late, great Whitney Houston (1963-2012). Whitney Houston was acknowledged for her exceptional voice: “a mezzo-soprano, she had tremendous range and popularized a difficult vocal technique, melisma, where a singer uses a range of different notes in one syllable” (Roberts). The single has its place in music history and its message is of heartbreak and happiness resonates with its listeners. The lyrics of “I Will Always Love You” are nostalgic and passionate because they are about moving on from someone you love in order to be happy individually rather than together, as seen in The Bodyguard.
