Preventing the right of the people to be secure against unreasonable searches, is as dangerous as climbing mount Everest. Taking the right of privacy away would cause chaos throughout America. The American people expect to live in peace; taking the 4th amendment away, would be ignorant because, the very reason people love the United states is the freedom from total government control. We are democracy and we not monarch, we are a free people. The US Constitution was created to limit the power of the government to certain things, and insure that the people where governed fairly. The first 10 amendments where named as the Bill of Rights. The IV amendment, Search and Seizure, was Passed by Congress September 25, 1789. The 4th amendment was written by the father of the us constitution, James Madison. The two contemporary cases I found are clearly violations of the 4th amendment, not to mention alarming and unsettling. The United States v. Jones was a case that involved Antoine Jones, and Police investigators. Antoine Jones was suspected of drug trafficking, and the investigators put a GPS tracking device on his vehicle, without a warrant. Not to mention investigators proceeded to follow him for a month. Missouri v. McNeely is also a recent case that involves state police officer Mark Winder and Tyler McNeely who was intoxicated and pulled over. McNeely driving over the speed limit and was swerving over the centerline of the road. McNeely failed four field sobriety tests and refused the breath test. Officer Winer arrested, Mr. McNeely, and took him to a hospital and obtained a blood sample without Tyler McNealy consenting to it. He had refused to take the blood sample and Winder proceeded to have his blood
