I believe that all people are born being good its peoples nature to help someone in need. So many people are ready to help people in need, and this hurricane harvey was a perfect example on why i think people are good. Hurricane Harvey destroyed roughly 40,000 homes just in houston, making it nearly impossible to live there. But with the help from our brave soldiers and hundreds of people who have boats over 75 percent of people who were affected by Hurricane Harvey were able to make it to a safe place where they were fed and were given a place to stay. Throughout this tragic hurricane. Hundreds of thousands of people around the world opened up their businesses for people to stay, very large companies who had a lot of room and were not affected by hurricane harvey to bad allowed people who were affected to stay there as long as needed. And watching all those people on the news helping people in need out was …show more content…
One of the strongest hurricanes to ever be recorded.. This Hurricane was an extremely powerful and catastrophic Cape Verde type hurricane, the most intense observed in the Atlantic since Hurricane Dean in 2007. This storm was suppose to come to places like Cuba, Florida, Bahamas, and the Caribbeans. These places ordered AN immediate mandatory evacuation. The people that can afford to evacuate evacuated. And the people that were less fortunate or the people that wanted to take the risk, stayed. And Even though this was a mandatory evacuation and it was highly recommended that everyone get out of these places. Our brave and courageous soldiers came head first in this storm giving the helping hand that so many people desperately needed. These soldiers helped countless number of people and helped out anyone who needed them. Without these brave soldiers there's no doubt in my mind that Hurricane Irma would have been ten times worse. These soldiers helped out tremendously. An we thank them so
Over the past decade, the world has experienced more natural disaster than people can count. Floods, mudslides, earthquakes, and raging fires are just a few of the events that have stripped people away from their families, homes, and possessions. The deadliest of these natural disasters are hurricanes. Extremely strong winds mixed with large waves can cause enormous damage, taking months, even years for towns to recover. Hurricane Katrina left millions of people without homes and families torn apart. Hurricane Sandy demolished the Jersey coast, leaving years of repair work behind. The most recent and powerful hurricane that surfaced is Hurricane Maria. A level five hurricane, Hurricane Maria ripped straight through the United States territory of Puerto Rico. The island lost power, supplies
After Hurricane Sandy there was a bunch of damage done to theses states : Jamaica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, and the U.S. (“Superstorm Sandy”). “The hurricane left an estimated 200,000 people without shelter” (“Superstorm Sandy”). The property damage was an estimate from between $30-$50 billion (“Superstorm Sandy’’). Many people had no home for a long time nothing to come home to or
Gas prices are considered to be returning to normal as most of the oil refineries are reopening following the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey. Many of the drivers in Houston were affected by the increase in gas prices and long lines at the gas stations when Hurricane Harvey hit. Due to Harvey’s landfall, it caused most of the Texas population to flock to the pumps, in fear of a long-term gas shortage. Denton Cinquegrana, chief oil analyst at the Oil Price Information Service stated, “The national average gas price has peaked to $2.67, following the hurricane. This was around a 35-cent increase from pre-Harvey levels.” The increase in gas prices was a “result of coastal oil refineries electing to shut down, rather than wanting to

This promotion was aimed towards the community which consist of the cities in the Coastal Bend region and surrounding areas. I believe people to be naturally good to others, because there is more kind-hearted people more than cold-hearted people in this world. In this world you will see a handful of people helping and giving to others no matter the situation. The percentage of evil and cruel people is a very low percentage. After everything people all over Texas is coming together, and it shows the good in people that we thought did not have a good heart.
As a Houston based law firm with deep ties to the community, we have been devastated to witness the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey. While the stories of heroic rescues and the kindness of strangers make us beam with pride at the magnanimity of our great City, we grieve over the unimaginable toll this hurricane has already taken on our friends, clients, neighbors, and colleagues.

State and Federal agencies can be a primary source of information and assistance during and following a natural disaster. Here are some websites that offer a wide range of information, both general and specific, that you may find useful in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey:
When a disaster strikes and it is so sever that the local governments and the State governments together cannot provide the needed resources, the federal government then becomes the source for resources. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is the Federal agency that coordinates the activation of the Federal Response Plan (FRP). However, due to past hurricanes and incidents, the response of FEMA has demonstrated that the government is not prepared to defend the US population as a whole. As demonstrated on Wednesday October 19, 2005, Hurricane Wilma intensified into a Category 5 hurricane within a 24 hours time frame. Hurricane Wilma produced sustained winds of over 173 miles per hour and with the atmospheric pressure of 882 millibars,
Natural disasters can bring communities together, even if they have been torn apart. One morning, residents of New Orleans emerged from various shelters and their homes to examine the remnants of Hurricane Katrina. Several hours later, they realized there was more devastation awaiting them. Hours later, “…a breach in the levees allowed water to continue to rise until whole neighborhoods were flooded.” Hurricane Katrina brought great attention to the lack of local and disaster relief programs. Most programs are not designed or funded to help assist people for more than four or five weeks. When federal assistance money (FEMA) started to run out, the people were expected to find jobs or get help from other government agencies. This only caused
Last week Hurricane Harvey hit Texas! No one expected this storm to be so severe. Hurricane Harvey was one of the worst, most damaging hurricanes Texas has ever experienced. The damage from Harvey was very extensive. Harvey left millions of people without homes to come back to, cars were washed away, and people went missing and some died. People from different states came all the way to Texas and risked their lives to helped strangers when they didn’t have to.
Did know Hurricane Katrina the most expensive hurricane to date? First, a hurricane is a storm with powerful wind, in a particular a tropically clone in the Caribbean. Hurricane Katrina, which started as a tropical depression, caused billions of dollars in damage because of poor planning.
As we all know is that hurricane Irma has been a catastrophe for most people. People have lost their homes, amongst other losses. During these devastating times people are still praising The Heavenly Father for His love and protection. Irma has hit many places in the world where people are giving God thanks, places such as Antigua where the Prime Minister Gaston Browne was giving God thanks on behalf of the whole country. “Thank God for his mercies and blessings. He has protected and spared us from the worst of Irma, he said. In the midst of Hurricane Irma, people are coming together in unity from different races and backgrounds to assist one another and to restore what was lost. Despite the enemy who’s always trying to cause division, the
Hurricanes are clouds that are over oceans like Atlantic or the Pacific Ocean. The warm air is on the bottom and the cold is on the top and there winds get together. The warm air gets in the middle or as known the eye the hurricane. The eye will start to spin and collect more clouds. FOr a tornado is different. Tornadoes start on land and come not by the tempitcher of the water but by land. For a hurricane comes by the tempitcher of the ocean. Hurricane Irma started on August 30,2017 and finished on September 15, 2017. Hurricane Irma wint throw
Thursday afternoon my teacher told us a storm was coming and we were probably gonna still go to school. The rain started pouring and it wouldn’t stop. It turned out that this storm was coming from Hurricane Harvey. Tons of water began to fill the streets in my neighborhood; I had never seen the water rise so high because of a storm. Friday night I received a video of my aunts house. Water entered her house flooding it up to her thighs, my baby cousins room was filled with dirty water. I was afraid for many reasons, this was happening to one of my family members. My aunt has a daughter that recently won a battle against cancer and the fact that dirty water got into her room scared me. She is only 3 and could easily get sick, but thank God my
