I wanted to go to a swimming pool. I asked my parents
“Can we go swimming?” They said “maybe.” Then later they said “Get you swimming suit on were going swimming.” Me and my brother said “Ok yay.” We were on our way there and I said “ I really want to ride this really cool slide”
“I 've never been on it and I heard it 's very fun.” My parents said “You will get to since we 're going there.”
I said “YAY!” Then, as we arrived there I said “oh there is the slide I wanted to ride.” My parents said “Wow that looks fun” I said “Yup” Then we got our sunscreen on so that we don 't get burned and first, I start off by swimming since I want to get used to the temperature of the water. Then after I got used to the water, I decided that I shall take a break. I decided to sit in the sun. Then about 15-20 minutes later I decided to eat a little snack. I ate some apples with caramel dip and I was off to swim.
So, I continued to swim and I was super anxious to ride the slide; but I thought to myself why not save the best for last. I decided to wait until the end to ride the slide. I rode the slides that didn’t seem as cool. I rode all of those but one. The reason I didn 't ride the other slide was because the line was too long.I decided to take a break and just lay and soak up the sun. As I soaked up the sun I saw that they had an indoor pool. I decided to go and check it out. Then I saw a diving board and a big lap pool and just a swimming pool and there were 3
My cousin and I were heading over to our favorite ride there, the Twirl And Whirl, it was so fun, when we went on that ride it felt like we were flying when we closed our eyes and felt it spin. While we were on the ride my sister and her friend asked if they could go on the roller coaster and our dad said,”Yes, but first let 's wait for this ride to be done so all of us can go.” soon the twirl and whirl ride stopped and we got off and headed towards the roller coaster ride called the bullet, we waited in line for maybe 10 min then got on, I sat next to my dad because it was my first roller coaster ride,”Everyone
My eyes shift over to look back at the massive line behind me noting that everyone appears so eager to be in the position where I am, at the start of the ride. The lifeguard’s voice rises in pitch, “Rule #3 - Never! Ever! Exit the t...”, my focus shifts back to the forest where i can see a faint outline of a nest. The bird flaps its wings and take off magestivly. I look at the clock and I notice that there is 5 seconds remaining. “GO!!” I get pushed into the slide before the timer hits zero. Will I crash into the previous rider? What happened to safety first!? While I am sliding down the twists and turns of the slide, I feel certain that I am doing everything I was told not to do while I was having the rules shouted at me. I see a light at the end of the tunnel and shock jolts my system as I slam face first into the pool
Once we got there, I was excited because I always loved all of the rides except roller coasters. When we got inside the park, I wanted to go on the swing ride, but my dad said no. He suggested that we should go on the ride “Medusa”. Guess what! It was a rollercoaster ride. I begged him to not go on it and he eventually convinced me
Half my friends laughing, the other half following quickly behind to see what’s going on. In between hanging up the phone with my mom and making it to the bathroom with no one behind me anymore, I realized, wow I’m a spoiled brat who got handed everything and reality came and bit my butt hard. I didn’t really need that sweater. Or the necklace I had bought earlier or even those to die for shoes I was drooling over. With this new sense of maturity, I went and returned all those things I didn’t need. When I got home I walk right into my mom’s room handed her the $250 I had just got back, from all the things I “needed” so badly, and told her,” You know mom, what you said was kind of mean but thanks.” She refused to accept my mom so when she wasn’t looking I put it in her purse later that
We started our long journey to Gurnee, Illinois where Six Flags Great America is located. Melissa, Anna and I were playing in the car while my mom was paying attention to the road. It was still early in the morning, so I took a nap and I woke up 45 minutes later. We all stopped at McDonald's on the way, because we did not have any breakfast yet.
When we all got to six flags, we all gathered together making plans on what we were going to do first. We all decided to go to Hurricane Harbor Park first because of how hot it was. As we walked into the park I was like “Wow look at all the slides!”
I woke up nauseous, too sick to eat. The whole drive there I was praying it would be cancelled. The fear consumed me; I couldn’t move. I just wanted to be home in my warm, comfy bed, instead I was diving into an ice cold pool. After warm-up my coach gave me a pep talk, but I was too nervous to listen. Sometimes I got so nervous I’d throw up, right before my event. To this day I still don’t understand why I got so anxious at swim meets. For the past several years, I have had a love hate relationship with swimming. I always struggled with swimming, and many times I wanted to quit. The time commitment and the physical requirements have always been a little too much for my mind to handle and it all comes to a crescendo when it is time to compete. I often wondered why I continued to put
“Get up now,” My mom yelled down the hallway. “Hurry or you’ll be late!” My brother and I dreaded waking up early to swim, but we had chosen to commit. Even though I’ve competed every year since first grade, I still struggled. That summer swimming taught me to have stamina, the ability to not quit even though it was hard.
After we passed the security we walked in to go to the Mind Eraser and it was really packed. We waited in line for 1 hour and it finally was our turn.We got seated and buckled our seatbelt for the roller coaster. After we got seated the instructors checked everyone seat belts then pushed the button to start. And there we went slowly up the the track. As soon as we got to the top the rooler coaster came to a complete stop.
After, Rudy, my dad and I went on the Farris wheel. Rudy and my dad went on the Fire ball and I stayed down watching the ride. Rudy at first was kind of scared. He liked the fire ball after the ride. My
When we got to the park, my brother and sister went directly to one of the highest roller coasters. They were so pumped up while I was terrified to death. After thinking it through, I decided to skip the first ride and maybe all the other ones too. They just papered so gigantic, noisy and intimidating like a beast.
My heart pounded as my feet gradually left the safety of the grounds and began its ascent on a ladder that rattled on every step. Sweat formed in the palms of my hands while my gaze remained transfixed to the ground. In my mind’s eye, I envisioned myself landing with a splat on the ground. This was my first time at White Water, Six Flags. At first, when my cousins invited me to the trip, I presumed that in the worst case scenario, I would face a roller coaster; I can stomach that as long as there were seat
We have a pool side room. We got on are swimming trunks on and plunged in. We were going to be there for three days I thought of all the fun we were going to have. Then we got out of the pool and went for a walk to another park that was even better there where go-karts. We went around the track really fast. I came in second place. There are also go-karts inside that were electric. It was a bumpy ride. Then we got some Domino’s Pizza.
We all changed into our bathing suits we were now ready to go to the water park. We headed back too the elevator. We got to the water park and a lady came up to us to measure our heights we were all tall enough. We headed to the stairs that were dripping water from all the people that went up. I climbed up each stair
I listened and did as he said. I pushed forward and started my way down the steep slide. The force of the water carried me forward at a fast speed and I was thrown down the slide. I opened my eyes and saw that I was no longer touching the slide, but flying above it. The wave of water had thrown me so fast that I was in the air over the slide. I closed my eyes in fear and I hit the slide with a bang! I slid right into the pool with a big SPLASH. Half a second later I was submerged in the blue liquid terrified, wondering if I was hurt. I sank to the bottom, then shot up off of the ground with my feet pushing towards the air above. I wasn't the best swimmer, but I made my best effort to swim to the side of the pool and to safety, I looked around for my Mom, as I looked around I noticed the lifeguard watching me just in case. I made it to the side and pulled myself out of the pool. My mom asked me if I was okay. I told her I was fine and we continued through the day and eventually
