Influencers I have been influenced by many people in my life. Being inspired by these people has helped shape me into the person that I am today. However, there are a few that I look up to more than anyone else. Three of these people are Steele Johnson, Audrey Hepburn and Neil Armstrong. Neil Armstrong was the first man to step foot on the moon. Alongside this, he was an aerospace engineer, naval aviator, test pilot and university professor. The reason I look up to Neil Armstrong is for his advancements with humans in science. Being the first person to walk on the moon is extremely admirable in my eyes since I love science and astronomy. Neil is from Ohio which gave me the the view as a child that anyone can do anything no matter where you
Alan B. Shepard was a man who was very influential in the U.S. space race, and in science in general. According to NASA, Shepard became the first American in space in 1961. This was a major step towards getting a man on the moon. Shepard made a second trip into space in 1971, and this time landed on the moon. To me, Alan Shepard is someone that I look up to, not just of his accomplishments, but because he ventured out into the unknown, by himself just for the knowledge of man. He was the first of many astronauts to go to space through the NASA program, and he couldn't have known if it was safe to travel through space. What he did was never done before, and it could be very dangerous. That takes bravery to do something if you aren't sure
There are many influential people all throughout history but today we are only going to talk about two. Christopher Columbus and Marie Curie are too brave and fierce people who followed their dream no matter what. Even though they have their differences they have a lot in common. Both people lived in extreme living quarters and suffered from horrible diseases. These are amazing people who have definitely made their mark on history and our world even to this day.
One person I am really inspired by is my English teacher Mrs. Henley. It has only been a month since I started 7th grade and I already feel that my writing has improved. She has given us lots of tips on reading and writing. I have always really enjoyed reading but now I love it even more.I started reading the book Harry Potter a week after school started. It is a very extraordinary book but I think I am enjoying it more because of all of the skills I have learned from Mrs. Henley.
“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” This quote and its speaker will live for decades to come. At first, it was thought to be impossible for a human being to walk on the moon, but Neil Armstrong defied that accepted knowledge. The quote signifies how to him, a man, that step was literally small, but the trip to the moon brought about a significance to the history of mankind. Neil Armstrong, best known for being the first man on the moon, will always be a role model to many as a constant reminder that nothing in this world can be deemed as impossible. He also inspired many people to commit themselves to their choices, and to keep working the hardest they can for their dreams. Overall, Neil Armstrong is considered a significant
Do you know who Neil Armstrong is? He is a famous astronaut and he work for NASA. He also has a wife and kids. He also worked for the navy. Neil Armstrong also had his pilot license.
Neil Armstrong is one of the most influential people in the world. He changed the world’s perspective about the limits man can reach. He proved that we didn’t have to stick to the conformities of the human race. He was the first man to land and the moon and redefine the limits of humanity´s power, and reach.
“One small step for man, one huge leap for mankind”-Quote by Neil Armstrong as he stepped onto the moon. Neil Armstrong was the first to go onto the moon and he said that as he stepped on. He tested fast planes for the NACA, he was a very good pilot and astronaut and was looked up to by others, and he was the first man on the moon. These are accomplishments that he should be honored for with the lifetime achievement reward.
Neil Armstrong was a very significant person. He was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio, on August 5th, 1930. In 1949-1952 he was a naval aviator, then in 1955 he joined NASA. For 17 years he was a test pilot, engineer, astronaut, and administrator for NACA and NASA. “NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. NASA was started in 1958 as a part of the United States government. NASA is in charge of U.S. science and technology that has to do with airplanes or space.” (NASA.gov staff, 2009) Armstrong began his NASA career in Ohio. At age 32, he officially transferred to astronaut status. As spacecraft commander for Apollo 11, Neil gained the distinction of being the first man to land a craft on the moon and first to step on its surface. (NASA.gov staff, 2012) After that, he received a bachelor of science degree in Aeronautical engineering from Purdue University and a master of science in Aerospace Engineering from the university of Southern California. Sadly, Neil Armstrong died from cardiovascular procedures complications on August 5th, but died a legend.
Someone who is inspirational for me is Ellen Degeneres. Because she is so motivational for me. She is generous to other people. Has many careers. She's funny, i always laugh when i watch her show. Here is why Ellen is an inspiring person to me..
Neil Armstrong, an American Astronaut and Aeronautical engineer, became the first person to step on the moon on July 21, 1969. Neil Armstrong, also is known for his famous quote when stepping on the moon “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Armstrong was born on August 5, 1930 in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Armstrong first discovered his love for space and flight at a young age when his father took him to an air show. After the air show, Armstrong set a goal to become a pilot. He managed to achieve that goal by getting his pilot license at the age of fifteen. Armstrong attended college at Purdue University and earned a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering. Then Armstrong finished getting his masters degree at the University of Southern California.
The most influential person in my life would be Cammie Cochran. I've been friends with Cammie since kindergarten. I have this picture of us when we were at a Halloween party in kindergarten. I was dressed as a white Unicorn and she was dressed as some kind of bride. I was holding up a piece of candy and she looked at the candy as if she had wanted it. In Middle School, we drifted apart and she went to a different friend group, but by the time seventh grade hit she was back in our little friend group. We had 4 other friends in the group which included Laury, Audrey, Emilie, and Kacey. It had truly upset me when we drifted because she knew everything about me and there was no one else I could honestly tell everything to without thinking they
A historical figure that has influenced me personally and the way that I think is Mother Teresa of Calcutta. The reason why she has influenced me so much is because of the person she was. She was so transparent and so loving to humanity. She also had so much love towards God that she is a true example to human kind. There are many ways how she influenced my thinking the first is her love to others and her determination.
Neil Armstrong was notable because he chose to live in his life on a farm in Ohio sharing his knowledge and experiences with students at the University of Cincinnati. He conducted himself on Earth that it is more worthy than his explore on the moon.
An inspirational person that I truly adore would persist as Amelia Earhart. I admire her completely, considering how she portrayed herself as the first woman that proved to the world that women can engage in the same activities as men. Although Amelia was a female, she kept receiving attention by having similar interests as men. Amelia felt that she could prove them wrong. She got on a plane and almost achieved her goal; soaring across the ocean in an airplane, however, the only downside that occurred was the disappearance of the plane.
Who do you look up to? Many different people are considered an inspiration for many different reasons. When looking at Mother Teresa and Angelina Jolie, you may not immediately see a whole lot of similarities. The things that come to my mind when I think of them is their fame or popularity, their way of inspiring thousands, and the controversy behind their names.
