It is very necessary to discuss concepts/ideas in philosophy in addition to words, it brings about the relationship of generalization and common ground. This discussion also brings to the surface questions about communication and understanding, how relevant or particular it is or not. Why is meaning a problem in philosophy of language?
Meaning has a main issue of mind, pertaining to perception and thought. Perception of a particular word, appeals to a common generalization that relates to the word/words spoken. The so called common ground of generalization is what brings about communication through words, and at the same time a generalization of the word compromised.
