D. Theme The theme of a story corresponds to the meaning of a human experience; it may be anything that could make an experience memorable. It is also something that has concerned writers. Theme is like a “seed” from which the writers will develop their story. In my opinion, the theme of the story is the strugle of finding true love is never easy. It is the main point of the story and the author develop the story from this main point. This also happens in the reality of many people in the real world, including me at this time.

Irony Irony is a figure of speech which is a contradiction or incongruity between what is expected and what actually occurs. There are three types of irony. Verbal, situation, and dramatic irony. Verbal irony is the use of words to mean something different from what a person actually says. Dramatic irony is occured when the reader is aware of something that the characters in the story are not aware of. Situation irony involves a discrepancy between what is expected to happen and what actually happens, and it occurs when the exact opposite of what is meant to happen, happens. The main irony that happens in the True Love story is situation irony. It is how Milton is desperately wanted to find his true love but the reality was he could not find one. We can know this from the explanation of the plot and also the quotations preceding this topic above. The another irony in the story is dramatic irony. It is when Joe betrayed Milton, and Milton did not expect it could happen. We can know it from the quotation below: “Of course, Milton himself knew, since it was he who arranged it and that had to be taken care of too. When they came to arrest him on grounds of malfeasance in office, it was, fortunately, for something that had taken place ten years ago. He had told me about it, of course, so it was easy to arrange-and he won't talk about me for that would make his offense much
