Isaac Newton is a physicist, mathematician, scientist, philosopher, and an astronomer. He was born january 4, 1643, in woolsthorpe england. He died march 31, 1727 in london, england, united kingdom. “Isaac was established physicist and mathematician, and is credited as one of the greatest minds of the 17th century. “In isaac’s childhood he was the only son of a prosperous local farmer, also named Isaac Newton, who died three months after, Isaac Newton was born!”

Isaac Newton was born on January 4, 1643, in Woolsthorpe Manor, United Kingdom. Isaac Newton interested me in his work and many other things. I’ve learned about him multiple times and actually have read multiple books about him. After the years of learning about him, it has interested me to write a paper about him. Newton is most famous for his law of gravitation, and was instrumental in the scientific revolution of the 17th century. Isaac Newton grew up at Woolsthorpe, a village in southwestern Lincolnshire, England. His father died two months before he was born. When he was three years old, his mother remarried and moved away, leaving Isaac in the care of his grandmother. Isaac Newton has two sisters named Mary Smith and Hannah Smith Pilkington.

Many wish to forget about slavery and the inhuman treatment of Africans that lasted for centuries. However, those who fought hard to stop slavery deserve to be remembered. Slavery finally ended in England due to the Slavery Abolition Act in 1833, thanks to William Wilberforce, an English politician. But he wasn’t the only one who contributed to the termination of the slave trade. Many other people worked behind the scenes, including a man named John Newton, who happened to be a former slave trader. He guided and mentored William Wilberforce as he fought to abolish the slave trade. He also wrote one of the most famous hymns in history, Amazing Grace.

A brilliant man with a brilliant mind, Sir Isaac Newton was said to be born on Christmas Day in the year of 1642 (see figure 1). During that time England thought the Gregorian calendar had been tampered with, consequently making the calendar ten days off. Therefore making the actual date of birth for Newton January 4, 1643. Isaac was born near the village of Colsterworth. This village is located seven miles south of Lincolnshire.( Westfall, 7) Newton was the only son to be born to Hannah and Isaac Newton Sir. Isaac Newton Sr. died shortly before Isaac was born. His father was a farmer with little education and was considered illiterate. Around three years old Isaac’s mother left him in the care of his grandmother while she remarried. After the death of her second husband she returned to Woolsthorpe in 1653. Isaac struggled to gain the attention of his mother in his youth. Due to his unhappy childhood, he struggled emotionally, even acting out in violence at times.

I do believe Newton is more successful utilizing his scientific method due to the logical process, analysis and repeatable results that arises from this method. Prior to the utilization of the method, most people believed in written scriptures as evidence for many things such as creation of life, universe and existence. Thanks to Philosophers and scientists like Sir Issac Newton, we are now able to prove certain theories and ideas rather than purely speculation. Initially this open-minded thought process was not vastly acceptable amongst those who believe creation was formulated by a higher being, and we have to give recognition to those to take risks in the name of science.

Newton’s 1st Law states that “…An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted unless acted upon by another force.” For example, if you were in space and took your gum out of your mouth and threw it, it would never stop because in space there are no outside forces. Isaac Newton was a famous mathematician and physicist who dated back from 1642 to 1727. Though he was a naturally bright young man, he found himself with a troubled childhood, where his education was limited. After finally finishing his education, he was introduced to many fascinating studies of science. This led him to make many contributions to science, whether it was in the science of optics, the studies of physics, or the discovery of gravity.

Sir Isaac Newton created three important laws about the theory of gravity and the laws of motion. Sir Isaac Newton is one of the most important scientist today. The scientist attended school and his mom would want him to work in the farm but he had no interest in being a farmer. He continued going to school without the support of his mother, as he grew up mostly alone. He attended college in Cambridge, he became a professor in mathematics. Newton stopped teaching because of the great plague. His laws of motion were physics that started the beginning of basic mechanics.

An object in motion continues in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. This law is often called "the law of inertia". This means that there is a natural tendency of objects to keep on doing what they're doing. All objects resist changes in their state of motion. In the absence of an unbalanced force, an object in motion will maintain this state of motion. Another disruption of Newton’s first law of motion states that if the net force acting on an object is zero, the motion of the object does not change.
