What is a Japanese Spitz ? Japanese Spitz is a medium sized breed with white double coat. They are companion and watch type dogs that are especially suited for apartments and small spaces. Japanese Spitz are said to have been originated from Japan by cross breeding several Spitz breeds during 1920's and 1930's. Appearance Japanese Spitz are known to have thick white furs with pointed ears and black muzzle, their tails curl above their body which is often fury. The dense overcoat is waterproof and protects it from cold. They have wedge shaped face and have black pads. Adult dogs can grow up to 30-37 cm tall and weigh about 7-10 Kg. They are smaller version of Samoyed. Temperamant Japanese Spitz are very intelligent and high spirited dogs.
