Poetry, like Jazz is one of those dazzling diamonds of a creative industry that help human beings make sense out of the comedies and tragedies that contextualize our lives. The 10920s had many names like “The Roaring 20s” and “the Jazz Age”. It was called the roaring 20s because it was a good time for fun times, new inventions and big money. It was also called the Jazz Age because jazz music and danced emerged. It was a cultural movement that took place in America during the 1920s and the conclusion to World War I. Jazz contributed in many good ways and some would argue bad. It was a new style of music that people weren’t familiar with. It was different because it broke the rules musically and socially. The older generation in the 1920s disliked this new style of music. The younger generation loved it, it brought dance, new change to the environment, and new relationships. People worried that jazz would destroy young people’s interests; they were also worried that the younger generation would forget the significance of classical music. Jazz music had a big influence on people in the 1920s. Jazz contributed to the 1920s in many good ways. It was a unique style that made people think. The music brought many new dances like; the Charleston, one step, and black bottom. It also brought new fashions, flappers, and new musicians.
