“I love the name of honor, more than I fear death,” a quote said by one of the most famous Roman leaders named Julius Caesar. Julius Caesar was born in July 100 BC and he died on March 15, 44B.C. Caesar was a general, politician, and a dictator. Caesar was loved by many people for guiding them and providing safety for them, but he was also hated by a countless number of people. That hate ended up in him being murdered. He gave Rome hope for a better future and a promise of new land, jobs, and wealth. Caesar accomplished many things for his country like win many victories, developed the Julian calendar, and redistributed land to the poor. He used many different tactics and strategies to win his wars. Through brilliant military tactics, Julius Caesar, ruler of Rome from 49 B.C. to 44 B.C., guided the people of Italy and Rome to achieve many victories, allowing him to become a powerful ruler, hero, and inspiration and leaving a legacy that still shapes the world today.

Even though there are sharp differences between Brutus and Cassius, Brutus acquires new skills and perspectives in many areas of his life due to his interactions with Cassius. Brutus and Cassius’ arguments serve as a turning point in how Brutus views friendships and the value of life. Cassius functions as a foil to Brutus by contrasting Brutus’ personality and highlighting Brutus’ strengths in a way that catalyzes his development as a character.

Some people may look at what Brutus and what the other conspirators did as inhumane, but it was what was best for Rome. Brutus imagined what it would be like when Caesar steps into power. Brutus loved Caesar so much, but he also had a tremendous amount of love for Rome. He looks at Rome as not only a place of accomplishments, but as a home. Rome raised him to be who he is. Brutus just doesn’t want to see Rome come crashing down or the people turned into slaves. Brutus is Rome himself, so many people look up to him. He did what was best for Rome.

I believe that Marcus Brutus was the noblest of Romans. Out of the conspirators, Brutus was the only one who was actually acting in the best favor of Rome. Brutus was the only conspirator who had good intentions for his people. The other conspirators wanted nothing but to see Caesar fall. Brutus on the other hand saw Caesar rising to power as a threat and wanted to remove him, possibly without the use of deadly force. He thought he should be the one to take Caesar’s place.
