As she wake up Katniss meet Rue an acrobatic girl were they decided to work together to fighting against the careers. As they are trying to destroy the careers Rue was killed by one of them. A cannon is fired to dedicate that a player is dead. An announcement was made that two players can win the hunger games so Katniss find Peeta who is injured. Katniss helped Peeta to recover his wounds and stayed in a cave were another announcement is made that each district will be given a supply at the Cornucopia which is at the center of the battle field. Through which a boy and a girl from each district must take part in ‘The Hunger Games’ where they have to fight to the death, until there is one survivor. Katniss subsequently evolves as a significant hero portraying the heroic qualities such as selflessness, identity change and intelligence. Selflessness is shown as she puts others before herself, her identity changes as she has to put up a brave face, and intelligence is displayed as her strategies progress in the games.
